A friendly question, would you guys have been at all interested or happy for him if he was still with us?

I will answer that in all honesty.

I would not have been quite as chuffed for him, had he still been a Hawk , as I now am because he is an Eagle, however , I am happy, no very happy...... with the AFL's decision, because TBH I wasn't expecting it as I thought the AFL would "wimp out" and go the easy route and go the *.

I don't begrudge either new Brownlow Winner as they have inadvertently been caught up in this whole Essendon created / AFL endorsed cluster **** .

For once the AFL PR people got it correct and did the right thing to award Medals to both Cotchin and Mitchell.

Lots of losers in this whole diabolical debacle, so for some sanity to have finally prevailed at AFL house, that should be acknowledged albeit very belatedly.

Happy for him and Cotchin but saddened as to why it came to this.

I now detest Essendon, a Club that I once had some begrudging respect and admiration for.

That mantle is now with Hawthorn who today garner my admiration and respect, you cant help but be in awe with what the Hawks have been able to achieve in the last decade.

As for Essendon I spit on the ground as I type their name.
