While it is disappointing to miss out on Tim Kelly, Oscar Allen at 21 is a bargain.

Hopefully he'll be developed as a midfielder at the next level.

Lamb was never a key forward in his U18 year though!! And Lamb also played predominately through the middle and Lamb is a fair bit taller

I always liked Allen as a prospect and thought he was underrated due to being a tweener. I wasn't that into him for us as he didn't fill our needs (I don't see him as a mid) but he was way too good to pass up at 21. Very glad we took him he is an A grade talent.

Fair bit to work with here, nice size, athletic and seems to have great leadership qualities, can see why WC picked him...he is their sort.

I didn't realise that Allen came top 10 in the agility test. That's pretty impressive for a bigger bloke, and is probably the best indication i've seen that maybe he might be able to make it in the midfield.

People are saying he is a little bit of a Nick Riewoldt mould, any truth in this? As in Nick Riewoldt moved to the wing era (2014-) who occasionally pushes forward.

Would be bloody handy.
