Impressive again tonight and got more touches, hope he doesn't continue his streak of getting dropped straight away after only 1 game. Hope we persevere with him for at least a month.
His last two matches he was the emergency, this week he was selected and played well. I liked his vision and decision making. Hopefully he plays for the rest of the year so we can see what hes got.

Very clean tonight and didn't look panicky or rushed when he had it in a contested situation. Need to keep this lad going in the 1s for a while. Definitely worth giving him another contract.

Was robbed of a free kick in third term. Was arm chopped in the forward pocket before he burnt the ball across goals when he should have had a shot.

He really should have taken a leaf out LeCras and Cripps' book and just been selfish and had a shot on goal rather trying to get it to Shuey, who really should have gone at the ball instead of waiting for it.

I thought his career was toast last year. Looks as though he's starting to repay the club for the patience they have put into his development.

A good game with 15 possessions and a goal last night. Definitely ticks the box for earning another game and fingers crossed he continues to develop. His issue will always be production so if he can find a way to manage 15-18 disposals a game in the short term that would be pleasing.

How can this be fixed. In todays not only is foot skills very important but also players are expected to win the ball alot. Karps isn't a true forward so he won't be kicking a lot so we need him to be winning the ball a bit down the ground. Hopefully improving his fitness (also Duggans) might actually help in that regards. Maybe we might actually have to look at brining in better midfield development coaches in as well.

Yeah. Karps is a midfielder who's developed into more of a high half forward. He will never been a genuine goal kicker so we need to bear this in mind and also select forwards with genuine goal scoring power (Rioli, Matera?).

To truly forge a successful career you'd want Karps getting 20-22 disposals a game at his peak.

That has to be a bare minimum if he gets moved on to a wing or midfield down the line as even half back flankers and even some KPD's get those sort of numbers. For the time being its not an issue but I think a few of our kids will need to work on their production.
