Welcome Tarir!

On a pretty bland day otherwise, this at least will at least be an interesting selection with plenty of upside.

If he gets half the attention of a previous unnamed Cat B rookie, he'll be a fan favourite.

“The selection of Tarir Bayok is historic in that he is our first Next Generation Academy player and we’re really excited about that. I know Adam Selwood, our head coach at the academy, was keen for that to happen.

“Tarir is super quick. We think he’s got a lot of upside, having played for East Perth and the WA 18s team this year.

Is there any footage? Cant see any on the AFL website. Maybe the club will upload some (or most likely not)

Is this why Adamson got the arse?
Nothing to do with Adamson

Can have 3 Cat B rookies and their salary isn't included in the cap

Remains a mystery why we delisted Adamson

Excited about this kid. Super quick but looks to have a low centre of gravity and looks fairly smooth and balanced when kicking.

Could turn into the small defender we have needed since Wirra

Yeah he's a pretty neat looking player - looked comfortable kicking off his non-preferred as well

Certainly something to work with

The little I have seen of him on video and what you read about him, there seems to be a lot to like. Apart from his height, what were/are the knocks on him - as in, why do people think he wasn't picked up in the main or rookie drafts?

Could be the answer to us getting chopped up by small forwards in betts and rioli and co.

Looks like he has good potential. Just going from that video, he could use his pace more and just bolt from play rather than off loading.

That would be stretch I'd suggest.

You need a small agile defender with plenty of footy smarts to handle those types. Not sure how long this fella has played but super smart small forwards would likely get the better of him.

Looks more like a running attacking mid / half forward type.
