he got a payout when he retired due to injury. bucks was joking about last Friday night on twitter with swanny during the draft.

He got a payout from the AFL. Don’t remember the details, but apparently if a contracted veteran player is forced to retire due to injury then the AFL pays them a (high) percentage of their next year’s contract. Dunno anything about a life insurance payout.

I think the doctor who looked at the reports said the injury was like somebody who was involved in a car crash, having lost anywhere between 6 to 12 months of work and full rehabilitation. Swanny doesn't mind to be put on the canvas to be able to get up, his self belief is through the roof and he can play a couple of games locally to wet his appetite.
