Yeah I think people are just surprised - i think over the off-season a lot of people on here expected Cavka and Duggan to show the most first up, and that Lamb would be a longer term prospect.

I must admit I was hoping we'd have seen Cavka play by now. Disappointed he's still injured as I think he could be something we need.

I think Lamb has shown a fair bit so far. He has surprised me, I initially didn't know much about him and was disappointed that we didn't pick Blakely. I still think Blakely will be very good but I can see now why we picked Lamb. He has got size, a good build, athleticism, agility, skills, energy and flair. Looks a very exciting prospect who could step in for Darling in Rd 1.

Actually Lamb might be a bit like Fyfe - a bit unknown but have the size and x factor.

Mitch Brown came into a side that had just won a GF and he was being fed by a pretty handy midfield that included both Judd & Kerr.

What has impressed me about Lamb is that he was providing a spark when we were down in the first quarter against quality opposition.

A long way to go but the early signs are promising.

Alternatively, Lamb could be the next Darling - not everything has to be about Mitch Brown.

Didn't seem afraid to get out there and have a go either which is what I liked. The rest of our squad were doing impressions of witches hats until Lamb fired up and imposed himself on a few contests. That seemed to wake the rest of them up.

Looking slightly longer term if you have marking targets in lecras, darling and lamb all holding down a spot you really only need 1 true key forward in kennedy in the team.
