Yeah for sure don't need to spend picks that high, hopefully we can split 2. McCarthy will be 8 years older than Lindsay next year so that will be good development having another elite ball user developing and hitting his prime as McCarthy ages . Haven't had one since Jetta and we have sorely missed a player like that.

Shows how bad the habits have been ingrained in the side, especially the senior guys - the quick 1-2 was on and would have resulted in a deep F50 entry, but Ryan stops and props looking for a static option downfield. Immediately kills the momentum and lets Adelaide zone off.

Flippin' heck. The sooner we get Simmo's shitful gameplan out of the team the better we'll be.

Ryan's stop, prop and cross field kicks were killers. He also slotted BtB goals to arrest momentum and drag us back in front at 3/4 time. Just a bit of a mixed bag for Liam yesterday but his intent was, overall, very good.

it was really odd because he usually takes the most attacking option but instead took the kick with the worst risk profile

It was not the right decision for sure. I really thought we were going to end up with a shot on goal during this passage and go 2 kicks clear

We definitely got a bit gun-shy in the 4th with our seniors the worst offenders in trying to play it safe.

On the plus side it was deep in the second half and we had 2 viable options to continue to move the ball aggressively. Baby steps...

It takes a serious amount of skill and footy IQ to be able to have the game on your terms on both sides of the body like that. Guy will be a superstar without a doubt.
