I doubt anyone would have foreseen him getting a RS nod when we grabbed him as a cat B a few years back. One player who we can point to and say has developed during his time here.

Gotta say I was harsh on him very early in but his first handful of touches and basically most of the first half was very underwhelming. That said he turned it around in a massive way. It’s actually nice to see an outside leaning kid having no issue finding a bit of the ball. The fact that McCarthy is an all round defender makes their partnership in the coming years even more exciting. Bit of Jetta about him the way he moves. Not as good with ball in (just yet) but he probably has jetta covered in leg speed (jetta towards the back end lost a lot of his pace).
