True that.
Also Hawkins- had he snared that first goal- 3 first quarter goals would have been hard to go past.
Amazing team performance- Danger played the most disciplined and team-orientated game of his career perhaps, and was devastating without a single goal.

Great observation - so glad for him , seems that consulting a sports psychologist was what ne needed to live in the moment and not over think things or try too hard. As talented as he is ( and he played an awesome game ) it was the genuine joy he showed for his teammates at various times that stood out for me.
Could even propel him into the Captaincy for a few years?

I love Danger, but I'd be very surprised if Tom Stewart wasn't appointed skipper in 2023.

I could watch this guy all day. I would love to see a vid of every goal he kicked.

Also, that goal assist by Tom Hawkins against the Suns was awesome and I doubt it goes down on the stat sheet but he clearly tapped it to Stengle advantage.

Well if he kicks another 50 goals this year his next contract will be a long term 600k+ a year deal
Hence why I wouldn’t have minded locking him in for longer on what I assume would be a lower wage right now.

I’m not looking at this from the player’s perspective.

Still a good result and much better than no signing.

A one year contract extension will keep Tyson grounded and hungry to build on his hard work and success in 2022.
A good move by the club! We have seen a history of players at other clubs losing focus and getting ahead of themselves after receiving long term contract extensions after one good season.

It was mentioned in the cats article about him resigning. to quote “Right now, signing a 12-month extension was the right thing for me, however I see a long football future for myself here at Geelong."
I reckon he's a keeper, just waiting for the retirements to free up some cap

Does 2 things,

Keeps the media at bay, and for a player with Demons in his past good to keep them at arms length. And gives him security that he can negotiate a new deal at the end of the year. Might even be Stengles preference for rolling 2 year contracts as it takes pressure off and just allows him to enjoy his footy.

Krock article K rock Football Kingy says tied to the club till end of 2024… some are posting it’s a one year deal… so which is it?
K rock Football usually pretty spot on…

Edit - both are correct…
Under contract till end of 2023 currently and 1 year extension makes it thru end of 2024.
