Can we please not turn this thread into a Freo vs WCE slanging match please people

OK! I'll be good!

Let me just say I'm proud of the improvements by the team this year. Its a big step from 14th to 6th...and that with a massive injury list. Well done, Freo and well done Harves!

Never understood the Freagle slur but anyway it's a bit hard to try and score points against Dockers fans when we got our first wooden spoon. Anyway back to the thread Mundy and Tarrant leaving would slow down the Dockers development next year quite a bit very important that Mundy stays.

Well that seems to be the ingrained culture of the club, like awarding the disabled kid for feeding the fish properly.

Put me down for the 'The Purple season that was DVD'

:thumbsu:

The Fremantle supporters can celebrate mediocrity once again. How embarrasing were the supporters going crazy after the game as if they had won it

Great season by the purple haze. Hands up anyone here who predicted to make the finals! They've unearthed a few gems in Barlow, Hill, Fyfe and Silvgani amongst others. They really need Mundy to stay as well as another key forward. Either that or another key back to allow McPharlin to play forward.

EDIT: They've climbed from being an embarassment to the finals. Now the challenge really begins in improving from a finalist to a contender.

being a west aussie and sometimes having to miss out on hawks games cos freo were playing, i must say i enjoyed watching freo play this year....i love de boer's guts and attack, absolutely awesome and hill is gonna be a gun, amazing leg on the kid!

well done on a good year, pitty about tonight but nxt yr should be better will barlow back!

Very good season, but possibly a bit of stage fright tonight.
If I was a Freo supporter I would be well pleased.:thumbsu:

Well done on the great season but the first quarter was as embarrassing as it gets.

Yep was a good year, however in relation to the latter half of your comment, try playing 10/11 1st and 2nd year players in a final where 5/6 have never even played on the ground - and try playing that game against one of the best sides of all time.........bit of perspective please.

Wasn't really having a dig(i do that on the Bay) was just pointing out what a major disappointment that first quarter was. Even with all the reasons you've outlined a much better performance was expected at the start of the game.

Who knows how it would have been had the whole side been fit and Palmer not taking out Freo's best midfielder. Barlow's injury realistically killed Freo's chance of a prelim final, he was that crucial.

Good season though.

Disgusting Freagles make me sick  Yeah great year Freo well done you just got smashed by 10 goals & had Des ****ing Headland & a crippled ruckman out on the park ffs. Perennial ****ing joke & I love it :D But next year <insert infinate echo>

Seeing Harvey finally smile was a nice touch though, kudos for that :thumbsu:
Success starved clubs getting better is great for footy and i'm happy about that. I'll be just as happy when Richmond start looking the goods. Nothing to do with it being Freo.

well done freo:thumbsu:
Agree with all the support for what Freo achieved this year. I hope they continue solidly in the top 8 next year too.
In a couple of days Freo fans will appreciate their best ever season, especially as the local rival have their worst ever.

One other point slightly off topic, I believe that all non vic sides should get at least 1 run out at MCG during the season. It should not be a ground that any team gets its first game for the year in September.

Our first quarter and half of the last were shocking, Freo of old, but we did win 3 of the first 4 or something away games. We tired as the year wore on but it was always going to happen. There were times back a few years ago when I honestly thought "What's the point? It won't get us anywhere" but not once did I stop supporting the team. I won't be truly satisfied unless we replicate this season again next year, that's the key ingredient for the Freo recipe.

Yawn... you've lost that moral high ground buddy after the entire nation saw your fans give your team a standing ovation after winning the wooden spoon. After a heroic loss to the powerhouse Voss Lions no less..

As opposed to your ignorant fans clapping madly at being humiliated in your 1st final at the G...(only took 16 years:eek:)
Yes we won the spoon...sheesh..Get over it. Does not matter how many times u say it, it will not change the fact your club has never done ANYTHING !!!!

It's easy to CHOOSE a side that has won SOMETHING isn't it? TOOL.
