Look I don't know if Bevo is going to be a good coach or not. Early signs are very good though.

The one thing that I'm happy about is that we're actually playing a watchable and exciting brand of football. We had one of the best neutral games to watch on the weekend, how often could we have said that over the past 3 years? Maybe 5 or 6 times maximum?

It's a refreshing change of pace.

We play teams ranked 3, 2 & 1 on the ladder over the next three weeks. We'll find out a lot about Bevo & his game plan quickly.

Let's be honest, almost anyone could coach better than our last coach.
Great start for Beveridge, may have been out coached by the opposition number but it's his first game.

In what regard was he out-coached?

We were 2nd on the ladder after round 1 in 2013. We finished bottom 4.

The ladder means nothing right now.

Was a good win the new game plan looks great also , I wouldn't be thanking beveridge yet his job is far from over and that was only 1 game , west coast also had most of there backline out and at full strength would have beaten us .. Things may be looking up though especially if last years crop of draft picks come through

They were lucky it was as close as it was. We really should have won by 7 or 8 goals, but were just far too wasteful in front of goal.

Scoreline flattered them.

Don't forget about Sydney after that's done also.

Personally we have to win this week and against Adelaide as realistically they seem closer to our level than Hawthorn and Sydney. If we beat Hawthorn or Sydney though then wowee.

I'd be content with 2-3 after 5 rounds, rapt with 3-2 and ecstatic/goofull with anything more

Adelaide will surprise a few teams this year, pushing for top 4 imho. We were quite lucky to get close to them last year, caught them napping with a fast start.

I think Adelaide will be a bolter too, though it's at Etihad and we've matched up well against them the last couple of years so it brings it back to say 40-60 I reckon. Won't be surprised if we're 1-4 though as it's a tough run but if we're to go forward we have to beat teams like Richmond and Adelaide regularly, we have proven we can beat teams like them under McCartney.
