I wish we had of got him at 22 if he had lasted, if he can get back to the form that he had before he got Injured then he will be a star is big confident and very fit and tough, perfect CHF, shame you have 2 but if you cant fit him in send him to the cats. Well done on your selections.

Thanks mate.
I was originally hoping for Ricky Dyson at pick 17 when I was listening live but the wiz Colin Wiseby said that Morrison was a great choice at pick 17. If he is happy, I am happy.

Davidson
C Cloke
and now Morrison
As to giving one to Geelong, Yeah that's a good idea:rolleyes:

Maybe not C Cloke, but you did omit one C Tarrant who is not a bad CHF either.

Murray, believe it or not, they're plotting it right now.........

Nice to know that they rate our 2 tall forwards (who haven't even played a senior game yet) like we do!

rockdog,

Tom's knee was fully recovered before the end of season. He will be ready for a proper preseason.

If Richards can play ruck and Travis Cloke can join him later we could well have talls to trade in a couple of years.

Tarrant on a wing.
Rocca, Morrison, Fraser up forward.
Presti, J.Cloke, Davidson down back with Clement able to take a tallish player.

others:
Cameron Cloke, Walker, Hall.

There are some juicy trades to get early picks in a few years and that's without any additional players from the PSD or next years draft.

Pffftt.
Cam will NEVER be a CHF for us.
Maybe Williamstown.

I agree, the games I've seen Cam play, I haven't been overly impressed. I don't know where we'd fit him into our current senior side, personally I think he might need to bulk up a little, he's tall, but I can't see him taking too many contested grabs across the centre half forward line. Maybe it's not his size or weight, and just his approach to pack situations, I don't know.

He seems to be a bit of a better kick for goal than Jason is, but that's not saying much heh. He'll be better with the year under his belt, and another pre-season, taller players tend to be later bloomers, so hopefully that's the case. With all that said though, I haven't really seen a lot of Cam, just a handful of Williamstown games and the exhibition game in London at the end of season. I'm interested in hearing other people's opinions on Cam.

The anticipation and expectation is building in regards to Bill Morrison, this kid sounds like a real prospect and seems to have a bit of bulk about him. I don't want to get too far ahead of myself though, but everyone else, including opposition supporters, seem pretty impressed with him.

I think we'll just bring him along slowly, play him for a year at Williamstown like we have with previous rookies, wouldn't want to rush him along after having his shoulder reconstructed.

Either way, I look forward to seeing him play next year.

Hey Mark, just interested to see who you think is our best prospect for backing up Fraser in the ruck? Or better yet, who do you think could replace Fraser as our primary ruckman, and allow Josh to play forward a little more often than he does already?

Richards, Cloke (Cameron or Travis), Hall?

Guy Richards I'm not sure on, he doesn't seem to be that much bigger than Josh, and on the Collingwood website it's got him listed about 4-5 kgs lighter than Josh is. He's also not nearly as polished around the ground, as far as I've seen anyway.

What's the go with Hall as well, I've heard he might also be able to play CHB or CHF? That's almost too good to be true.

So in a few years time the backline and forward line should look something like this.

B: Johnson, Prestigiacomo, Clement (aging)
HB: King, (Davidson/C.Cloke/Hall), J.Cloke

HF: Swan, (Morrison/Davidson/Hall), Tarrant (or on the wing)
F: Nixon, A.Rocca (aging so full forward will be his pos), H.Shaw/midfielder used in forward line

With Fraser and Hall sharing the ruck.

No one should replace Fraser as the primary ruckman, his position isn't in the forward he's a ruckman. Perhaps Fraser and whoever his rucking partner is can share the rucking 50/50 like Clarke and Biglands do at Adelaide.

Yeah, you're right. I was just thinking after I posted actually, how Fraser came of age this year when he was given the responsiblity of primary ruckman. He seemed a little in limbo in 2002 and the early stages of 2003 when he was playing predominantly as a forward, or being moved from forward to ruck too frequently.

So yeah, I take that back, you're 50/50 suggestion is a lot better, I think that's what we need to aim for.

Cam did great in London I thought looked to be agressive and have a nice kick.

I don't ever think Cam Cloke will be our first choice for CHF but at a pinch he could play there.
He is a better kick than Jason and a better mark, they are both about the same speed.
Lets face it if MM can play Jason at CHF in the GF then anyone can get a gig there.

For the so-called least talented of the three, I don't mind Cameron. I certainly think he'll do more than just be the stepping stone between getting Jason and getting Travis.
