Second on the ladder now...almost a certainty for the rest of the round.
A good tough win tonight. Richmond were lamentable. They are soft. I dont call thumping people behind the play in crude fashion being tough. Richardson is a joke of a footballer. He had 6 shots on goal and didnt even get a goal...even with a kick 3 metres out - he hit the post. Knights is a cheap shot merchant. Broderick the same. Campball and Daffy are just plain soft.
Congrats to Fabian Francis and Stephen Paxman on their 100th and 200th games. Those two were possibly the two best on ground as well. Stewy Dew kicked 4 great goals in a strong game. Burgoyne and Wanganeen always proved a threat up forward. Primus was great again. Kingsley was a welcome addition to teh side. Murray did af ew very very good things, and has really toughened up and isnt the soft player he used to be. Montgomery was strong again. Schofield did alright. Tredrea played fantastic. Guerra was tough as ever. Josh Carr was fantastic as well.
Umpire no 15. Ramon Kelsey is the most pathetic umpire ive seen. His umpiring bordered on cheating at times. Out of Richmonds 7 goals, 5 of them (2-3-4-5-6) were from free kicks from Kelsey. He is pathetic. Hes worse than even Harvey.
Have they changed the Holding the Ball rule or something. Is it even a rule anymore?? I reckon there was about 15 blantant holding the balls...both ways that just werent called. You are now allowed to dispose of the ball anyway you like, including throwin g the ball in the air. Its ridiculous. One week they pay everything, and now they dont pay any at all. Schofield got caught after running 30m had an airshot...usually that is holding the ball. Tivendale got swumng around THREE (3) times without getting rid of the ball and it wasnt called.
