A mate of mine who was in the prime possie (the stand opposite where he kicked from) said it went straight through, and she's a Freo fan, so take it for what it's worth. Was a very high kick but the Eagles crowd went nuts for it, Hansen liked it off the boot and the goal umpire didn't move, so I'd suggest it was a goal.

Great mark by your boy by the way sabre, you'll have to add that one to your list of things you love about Luke McPharlin.

How good was the first half of the last quarter? Up until half time the Dockers had it all over us. They should have been 3 or 4 in front at quarter time and 6 or 7 at half time. The god thing about the Eagles is they can turn it for quick 5-10 minute burst and put on 3-4 goals in these periods and when they're getting beat for large periods they seem to be able to minimise the damage on the scoreboard.

Yep.. It was a dangerous way to win a game, because it always touch and go whether we have the legs to run over the opposition and whether we can stay in striking range, but there is no team I'd rather be behind at 3 quarter time than the dockers, a bit of pressure and you can pretty much guarantee they melt.

The game was over by then and Freo had choked, the feral suporters were drunk and leaving in their droves.

Face fact. Freo has seven or eight class players and the rest are crap. Connolly is a useless coach, he can't bond them and can't motivate them. They rely on physical intimidation and perhaps a few quid to the umpires.
You aint gonna be in the Finals again this year, you're just not good enough....and your supporters don't deserve any success. They are SCUM

personally i'm sick of all the crap the media throw on us each derby. it IS just another game. maybe it's more if you have thin skin and can't cop the ******** that's dished out but i would swap a derby win for a finals win any day.

That game showed just how far ahead we are of Fremantle. Even with Stenglein, Seaby, Waters, Gardiner and McDougall out of the team we still looked like the much better team... Fremantle seem to be stagnant from the position they were in last year were as we are actually improving.

I think the reason we are all saying good luck to fremantle is because we know that they desperately need it...
