Congratulations blues fans, enjoy the win. We played pathetically in the second quater and didn't deserve to win, even though I thought we might pinch it in the last.

Umpiring both ways was shocking all night, and the tribunal will have a bit of work to do as well.

But you guys held us off in the last when in previous years you might not have, away from home with the crowd against you, so well done.

And you ruined my friday night.

In saying that, i thought you guys for the bad end of the stick. It was terribly over umpired. I couldn't watch a contest without the feeling that a free kick was going to be given away.

I feel that west coast are like a sleeping giant. They've got the kids there. Give them another two years and they'll be back up the top. It's only a matter of time.

I thought you guys got a very good run in the first half, and then they tried to even it out by giving us a good run in the second. As you say though it was over umpired, especially the 50m penalties.

I think we're a better team that this Thrawn, but as you guys over the year no doubt have noticed, a young team tends to lose confidence and skills drop when they fall behind. But once we got a bit of a run on in the third and forth we looked so much better , players running and finding space, the confidence difference is huge, we looked like a different side. But we haven't been able to do that for extended periods, and usually only when it's out of our reach.

Enjoy it anyway blues fans.

I thought Carlton's ability to steady and hold sway in the last quarter was outstanding, considering they were under enormous pressure: West Coast were surging, the crowd was VERY loud and must have been intimidating for them, and the umpires were getting sucked in by the crowd and paying soft free kicks to us (probably to even up a few from the 1st half ;)). If only the big Q could kick straight!! On the bright side, Kennedy looks the goods - could we look back at the Judd trade in 5 years time and say it was a win-win? I hope so. Well deserved win for the Blues though. No way will Carlton finish bottom 4 this year. We might though, but I suspect our pain will be relatively short-lived.

Cheers for that :) I think that your season will start getting better soon... it will take a little pain and possibly dropping Lynch to the seconds might help as well.

I didnt want to give Kennedy up in the first place to get Judd. But now we have him and the player I would have been willing to trade is really coming on as a defender, I think that we are all going to come out evens.

Josh will be a great player for you guys :)
