Saw the second half of that game and im not trying to be a smartass or rub in a close loss but you should be really proud of your side. If Richmond played with that much effort each week I'd be a very happy man.

I think what you can take away from that much was actually the good skills. Sure Scully dropped a few chest marks and Strauss missed a couple of kicks, but overall the skill level was very good.

With Warnock, Frawely, Grimes, McDonald and Garland when he comes back you have the making of a very solid defence.

With Davey, Sylvia, Jones, Maric, Scully and Trengrove you also have a midfield.

If you can get a couple of talented players to assist Petterd (who was super impressive today, heart broken for him), Bate and Jurrah you would be complete.

Don't feel too crushed Melbourne supporters, you were robbed. Apprently "droping the ball" is no longer a rule.
