The game against Adelaide was played in shocking conditions, but the only player that I can really say stood out for us was Ratten, with a mention to Lappin.

Talk about ups and downs... beat Essendon then loose to Adelaide!!!

Carlton seemed to have a bit of a downer and the conditions were shocking but as a crow fan I was very happy with the win. Ratten was sensational for you guys, it looked like a dry day for him. Campo was a bit of a loss too I suppose. Ah well, the Blues will be back Meg, I'm just thankful we finally got a win on the board, and against a top side too.

Just one of those days I guess. When it rained Adelaide surged, when it started to dry out Carlton surged. Poor concentration by the Blues not to hold them out but well done by the Crows. They wanted it more. Maybe Carlton's mental stocks were low after last week? Maybe we should have stuck to a winning game plan? Maybe Optus Oval has bit the hand that feeds it? Maybe we can only beat Essendon?

Maybe this and maybe that!!! I have no answers. Just shrug my shoulders and move on.

btw QT, don't get too carried away my friend. People in glass houses definitely should not throw stones. In the case of Crows fans, don't throw anything period!!!

Let QT celebrate ODN, who knows when he'll be able to celebrate again, could be weeks....

Go the Crows.

BTW, good set of excuses ODN, some of them were pretty inventive.

Jarman great all day
Ricciuto the hard man

In the second half, Smart killed Kouta

How can he be called a champion. He hardly gave a yelp. Pathetic.

This is why Crows fans get a bad reputation. The odd misinformed dill without the ability to think before speaking. In case you've been on another planet, Kouta is coming back from a knee injury. He played the first two rounds and suffered soreness at training, he missed the Bombers clash because of the knee and came back for the Crows match. In other words, HE IS NOT FULLY FIT. Most other opposition supporters would recognise this fact and also recognise that he dominated all year in 2000.

Go stick your head back in the sand!!!!

Go stick your head back in the sand!!!!

That was the only consistent year of his career.

So how can he possibly be called a Champion.

Good player yes - champion no.

At his best, he's as good as anyone, but how often does he produce it.

Yes the 99 Prelim final, but the bombers threw that away anyway.

Luckily we have lots of beautiful golden sand here in Adelaide that I can stick my head into if I feel like it.

But why would I do that, the Crows just beat Carlton and our over thirty has-been, gave Kouta a lesson in football desire.

He may be missing his mate Ange again.

Cheers

Incorrect. 1995 (all australian) and 1999 were both very consistent years, and 1996 was good too. 1997 and 1998 were difficult years for Kouta - with his Dad's death etc. Go empty your rubbish elsewhere.

tYear Team Games Kicks Marks H'bls Goals B'low Vs
1998 Carlton 21 225 95 126 11 0

In case you need reminding, you called Kouta pathetic. I was merely pointing out that there is a valid reason for him not being at his best. The conditions were hardly great for a player in and out with a knee injury. Yes, he is a great player. Champion should be reserved for the end of a players career but the term isn't used only around Blues circles. What about the top 50 lists? What about the commentators that rate him.

This is all speculative. Since you don't appear to have been around long, let me remind you that the club boards are for discussions amongst that clubs supporters or other supporters that show appropriate respect to that that team. As a moderator, I expect that fellow Blues fans can come in here and not be belittled or have their team belittled. The main board is open slather.

My apologies for having a comment about a Carlton player that the carlton supporters don't like.

I thought where else to talk about Carlton that on the Carlton board, but perhaps I am mistaken.

I take on board your point about usiing the word pathetic, but that was clearly a throw away line.

My fundamental point is that I think he needs to be more consistent to be given the accolades that he is.

However as I am not wanted here I will not post here anymore as I have better things to do with my time.

Go the Crows
In Gold and Green and Blue

ps Campo is a legend.

And you have the right to that point. It's the way you express that point that matters. On the main board, we will debate you with venom. I suggested you show some respect on the Carlton Board, the mere fact you feel the need to leave proves you can't do that. See you on the main boards.
