A draw completely ****s everything up mathematically. But it's probably as good as a win, even though it sure as hell doesn't feel like one!

A draw is never as good as a win. This takes percentage out of the equation for us, we have to win next week to finish top 4.

Just did the Ladder Predictor Thing... looks like we finish 7th and play Freo at Subi Week 1.

Boo-Urns!

Yeah the draw (instead of a win) is probably going to cost us a home final and make us travel to Perth for an elimination final.

We got a point we shouldn't have gotten with the Davey one i think, i'm pretty sure the ball was marked well before the line and i don't think it ever left his grasp. Jamars should have been a goal, but you can't say it cost us the game, everything would have been different if those decisions had have gone the other way

The two (2) losses to the 2006 wooden spooner may ultimately prove more costly for any team which aspires to a premiership.

win next week.

then replay the same fixture the week after in the finals, with the double chance and the confidence of beating the crows the week before.

you can do it boys, fire up.

yze in the running for mark of the year, what a speckie, you beauty!

We will be smashed in the finals because we don't have anyone capable of playing CHF. Surely Daniher could have managed to find someone to play this position after two years.

Jamars was a mark, And Daveys kick wasnt a point but a mark, but the decision that I thought was an absolute disgrace was Robbo 20m out when Harley ripped his head off and Robbo still marked it but neither was paid.
We beat crows we finish 3rd, and considering its the slowdown this week, expect them to be pretty flat and sore next week. Whelan will hurt us, but the big skipper is back, and early prediction a DEMONS WIN.

Bloody Melbourne.

We are completely ****house when the pressure is on.

Is that why we managed a draw, at Skilled Stadium with all the Geelong fans bringing their team home? If we couldn't handle that pressure, then we would have gotten done by 5 goals.

Geelong were always going to come home hard, and their finals are over. We had to win next week anyway, and the other teams are no certs to win either.

We should have won. It's as simple as that.

We went to sleep in the second half, when our entire season was riding on it.
Damn lucky to draw that game. Imagine if the siren sounded just 2 seconds later... we would have lost and it would have been season over.

And Geelong were playing for nothing also? Had they won, they were still in with a big show of playing finals, especially after the Dogs got thumped. They were ALWAYS going to come back, and come back hard.

Make no mistake, our 2nd half was poor, but playing Geelong in Geelong with their season on the line is not an easy task. They rolled the Swans easily the week before, so what does that make them?

2 points are better than none, give its a small advantage so there's a positive to take out of it. Adelaide appear to be really shaken and will be without Hentschel (sp?) and Basset so that should even up the contest a bit.

We're gonna miss Wheels like hell, we're a far better side with him in the team but we should cope. Bring back Biz? Anyone know how he's traveling?

I think we'll win next week...But we'll probably fall over the line. Absolutely essential we get off to a good start. We should be OK, Neita will make a big difference. Straight swap for Wheels?

Verrrrrrrrrrrrrry happy with Wardy and Jones. Bruce has hit some good form too!:thumbsu:

Was anyone near McLean's out of bounds in the last 1/4? He didn't look happy. We were away if that wasn't called and IIRC the cats scored soon after. So many ifs and buts....

I like the situation were in actually. Our destiny is truly in our hands as mentioned above. If we were to beat Adelaide next week, it confirms our place as a contender, yet if we lose, we more than likely play away to an elimination final, whcih is not something we can complain all to much about because it would be of our own doing. If we can't beat Adelaide in Adelaide how could we possibly epxect to win a qualifying final, or even a prelimanary final which would most likely be played away

Next week decides who we are and what we want from 2006
