Wells has been pretty good this year but Griffen is our best player by some margin and in the top 10 players in the comp.
.
What about Boyd?
Wells has been better this year so far. Just ask the coaches.

Which is why I said up until the round just gone. Read my post's carefully instead of just making up imaginary problems.
You flip flopped on the first point you were making.
i can't stand flip floppers.

Now we are a better side than North. Until we beat a contender we were only going to be equal. But you could have made a case to say North were better, given ladder position. However We beat a contender last week and that has now proven we are better. We've improved over the season from being a poor side to now being competitive. While North have improved from being a poor side to a slightly less poor side. Both our clubs won an easy string of games but once we came up against contenders we won while North weren't even competitive. We are clearly a better side now. That wasn't so clear early in the season.
And all the while, Griffen has been the one constant. He stood out when we were a poor side, leading from the front. And now we've improved, he's still our best player along with Cooney and Boyd.
So my first point- until this round, Griffen was the standout in a poor side. Much as Wells is. The Carlton win has shown we've improved and we are no longer a poor side.
Not flip flopping at all. You just struggle with comprehension.
Stats for these 2 this year are similar , but Wells having he best season so far still does not stack up to Griffen
Grffien
Inside 50 - 91
Goals - 19
Contested Pos 155
Running Bounces 34
Wells
Inside 50 - 71
Goals - 11
Contested Pos 145
Running Bounces 8
Career's so far would go with Griffen, but this year alone Wells has had the better season.
Griffen is a very underrated player. Any team would love to have a big framed guy like him who can run and carry the footy. Wells this season is fit and injury free. He is doing a lot of North's grunt work in the middle and using his pace when he has space.
Settle down. I am a huge Griffen fan and it is much more of a dig to suggest Wells is anywhere near Griffen.
Plus, the "very, very rare" comment about Griffen's form over 2 years is spot on.
Tell me how Wells has had a better year, all stats show Griffen to be way ahead![]()
Stats, Supercoach points wise.......Griffen is ahead.
Yep correct Griffen leads all , Wells having 1 good year, still not close to Griffen.
As i said i thought the poll was Wells v Griffin from the Crow, we i saw Griffen from the Dogs i LMFAO.
Look at the poll results it's lol time, and the one's for Well are from North fans
If you looked at my other posts in this thread.......I have Griffen ahead career wise, but not ahead of Wells this season.
OP, is the poll question based on this season alone or career so far?
Griffen is way ahead of Wells this year, what are you talking about![]()
Based on what I've seen this year from him but also worth noting that coaches seem to think of him.
Think of the 1 or 2 good games a year he usually shows us over his career. Well he has done those good games consistently so far this season. He'll be in AA squad at least and would up there with Todd Goldstein on b'n'f votes.
Both are top 3 draft picks in their respective drafts, both are classy by foot and both have pace to burn. Who would you rather?
Keep in mind Wells is in career best form and even in North's heavy losses is standing up tall.
Griffin has been better for longer. So I'ld lean that way.
But Wells has never played in a very good side either. His effectiveness depends on others having an impact.
I see it a lot closer than most![]()
I think Griffen is marginally ahead. They're probably my two favourite players to watch.
The one stat that is in Wells' favour is that Griffen commits more turnovers and critical errors. Other than that, Griff just has Wells covered in most categories except for clearances and marks.
Griffen is way ahead of Wells this year, what are you talking about![]()
Way ahead? You are kidding yourself. Apart from the fact that votes point to Wells having a better year, the stats are very close in terms on numbers on each line and the number of categories each lead the other on.
It is not definitive either way and to suggest either is way ahead ths year is bias to the extreme
Disposals - Griffen
Marks - Wells
Goals - Griffen
Clearances - Wells
I50 - Griffen
Tackles - Griffen
DE% - Wells
The coaches agree that his influence on games has been greater than that of Griffen this year. I guess coaches must know sweet f*** all about footy.Griffen would be leading our BF, by the time they put the AA squad i am sure Griffen will be in.
If you are so sure the Wells has had a better year so far than Griffen even though the stats say Griffen is ahead.
Put a poll up who has had the better year so far Griffen or Wells, let the people vote.
