He kicked 50 goals and 20 behinds compared to richos 53 and 40 behinds. Cant argue with stats like that. Thats the thing with richo, he is too costly in front of goals. As much as i love the guy, he makes it hard to win when he misses so many.
You forgot the 20 out of bounds as well. At least he gets a lot of the ball in scoring positions. And your justification for claiming Welsh is a better player than Nathan Brown is ...?
Lies, damned lies and statistics.
Richo has been and always will be a frustrating kick for goal. However, when Scott Welsh has kicked 656 goals and averaged 2.9 goals per game, let me know. One season where Welsh kicked fewer goals (49 to 53). averaged fewer goals per game (2.3 to 2.4), did none of the gut busting running to the wings to create space behind for leading smaller forwards to operate in and did not crash packs to take contested marks or create crumbs for smaller forwards like Welsh to feed on does not make Welsh a better player in this or any other space-time continuum.
Many more games have been won by the Tigers due to Richo's efforts than have been lost due to his wayward kicking. Welsh has had a couple of good seasons in his career and is a good player. Richo is a champion of the game and a legend of the Richmond Football Club. There should be no comparison.
mmm, welsh is definitely a better player, because he kicked less goals and less behindsHe kicked 50 goals and 20 behinds compared to richos 53 and 40 behinds. Cant argue with stats like that. To further your argument, Richo has kicked 743 goals, not 656You forgot the 20 out of bounds as well. At least he gets a lot of the ball in scoring positions. And your justification for claiming Welsh is a better player than Nathan Brown is ...?

This time last year everyone was on here saying get Kingsley because he had kicked 60 goals a season a couple of times. His star may have faded quicker than Welsh, and certainly before we got him, but Welshes best is no better than Kingsleys. Welsh gets a fair amount of his goals against Richmond or the Bulldogs, two teams with poor defences. Whispers are that the Bulldogs have offered him two years. Lets hope they are the ones that over-rate him because of how he played against them, and not us.thats bullshit - he kicked 49 goals this season
much better than kant kick kant kingsley
