Were 3rd on the ladder.....geez its been a long time since we've been that high on the ladder! Id have to say maybe 1999???
I dont know! Anyway we've had a preety good start to the season imo.....The away games havent been too bad! I thought last weeks performance against the camrys wasnt to bad, the scoreboard didnt tell the stroy...we were much closer than 33 points or whatever it was. We almost won in Launceston....we were unlucky to loose that one. We've been very good at home.
If we can play alright in the next 6 weeks I think we can really have a crack in the finals and really start heading towards a premiership!

Great start, and although it seems early, we are a quarter of the way through the H&A rounds, so getting a good start was crucial and we've got that.
uhuh we've probably had the toughest draw so far of any of the teams so to be 3 and 2 and with the healthiest percentage in the competition is a good start! Now we have to start winning away from home so we can start heading towards some glory days!

Yeah i know BUT for them to be winning and beating these lower sides is a good sign. Last year they struggled against the lower sides that they SHOULD have beaten. They always seemed to lift for the bigger games. If they can start playing well against the lower sides their a real threat!

I see Melbourne as a big unknown.

Everyone is expecting us to beat them, but I think the loss of Kerr is going to have far more impact than most people think. This coupled with the fact that Gardiner will be going head to head with Jeff White, his toughest test so far. It's going to be a lot harder this week for our midfield, which is where most of our drive comes from.

Add this to our away hoodoo (no, Im not talking about "away" games at Subi) , and it's certainly not going to be a stroll in the park.

No one is suggesting its going to be a stroll in the park, our travel woes are well documented and this well be a tough test to our character to see in we belong were we are pitched on the ladder at the moment.

But as Go Eagles said, the next fortnight of rounds are winnable, and we need to win them to give stability and help set the foundation of a successful season.

This weekend against Melbourne becomes huge in the context of our season! If we can somehow drag out a win in Melbourne against the Dees we can come home where we are dominant against the poor old Cats.

Two very winnable games. Get them both and we are suddenly 5-2 and right near the top of the table! When you think about it every game is so important. But a good start to the season none the less.

If we do beat Melbourne this week, you'll be able to hear me when the siren sounds at the end of the 4th quarter.

I think you can run onto the MCG after the 2nd siren too - they aren't as Nazi as at Subiaco. I remember my first game at the MCG, Melbourne vs Geelong - Gary Ablett at one end and Allan Jakovich at the other.
