Easy tiger...

Re: fu.ck we're good!!

Very impressed with the way we have resurrected our season with 3 gutsy wins to get us in to the finals. The season isn't over, there is still hope, but we should still face the facts that there is a hell of a lot of improvement needed at the club if we want to become a genuine contender.

No , just making a statement. its not like im lying. You were favoured by the umps two weeks in a row. good luck to you, if i was you i would be wanting it to continue. But it depends on how much you pay them.

3 good wins without a few of your regulars is a good effort.
You set yourself up earlier in the season so IMO I think you deserve to be there.

Will Bruce and Miller be back next week? and what's the situation with Neitz?

As if we have money to pay for umpires.

Perhaps if your team didn't become complacent in Round 21 they would have buried us and taken our spot in the finals. But the Bulldogs simply weren't good enough. Now go away please.

Really, I can understand how it can be hard to miss finals, but about 50% of Dogs supporters have been really quite bitter.
If you're going to be this stupid to come trolling after we sealed your September holidays, you can go have a cry and realise that Melbourne > Bulldogs and you have once again missed the finals.

I'd say Miller and Bruce would be real chances to play, but it doesn't look great for Neitz.

I'm actually disappointed you guys didn't make it, I'd much rather you than Port Adelaide and the eternal whinger Mark Williams. At least you guys are good to watch!

Don't know.

But he's letting the club down by 'playing' when he isn't fit. We're lucky we have still been winning. To have three games in a row where he comes off the ground and takes no further part in the game is not good enough. If he's not fit, he shouldn't be playing.

Exactly. Good run with umpires aside, it takes some real ticker to come back from 34 points at the Cattery, followed by a comeback from 22 points down with 7 minutes left against us, then followed by a composed finish against your recent nemesis, all achieved with injuries to key structural players. My only bitterness is for my side for failing to ice a game that was ours for the taking 2 weeks ago. No matter how poor the umpiring was (and I thought it was, especdially early in that game), if you cannot hold onto a 22 point lead so late in the game, then you perish on your own sword simple as that.

Well done to your mob and best of luck in September.

No we're not. We've gone backwards from last year and fallen into the 8 on the back of three lucky wins. When did we become Richmond supporters and get excited about being mediocre?

Since 1964?

We always seem to be in the 'middle of our development' and 'only one or two years away from premiership glory'.

Sunday was hardly a good performance - but considering we only had one bloke left on the bench in the last quarter, it was good to see them fight it out. If Davey had kicked straight it may have been a little more comfortable.

We desperately need another target up forward - they can't be serious about playing Neitz this week. Miller and Bruce will come back in, but their fitness must still be under a cloud. For some reason, I can't see Nick Smith getting a gig in the seniors!

And the midfield will need to lift if Moloney is injured. Hopefully Brock McLean still has something left after his first full season of senior footy. And Yze, well something resembling a full match of committed footy would be nice.

Whoever does win though, will probably get a bit of a touch up the week after. Having to play the loser of Eagles/Swans interstate doesn't look like an easy task.

I thought Demonland was the place to be for blinkered "OMG WE'RE GOING TO WIN THE FLAG! I LUV U STEVIE ARMSTRONG!" posting?

Pah. We're slop.

ken oath, but we're good slop. Not great, but good.

And yes demonland is where you go to see over the top confidence. Demonology is where you go to see none.

Can't deal with either to be brutal, too much "hooray for everything".

Sweet. Straight to the no confidence section I go.

I'm simply happy we toughed out the season, rather than rolling over and dying. We had a bit of luck, but we showed something we didn't in 99, 01 and 03.

But I'm not getting carried away. 7 straight losses is horrible stuff, and shows we are still a long way off... but we made it in the end, and I think it shows a bit more mental toughness we seemed to lack in the past.
