Troy Pannell holds the Sherrin aloft and the siren sounds for the second quarter to begin, evil with the early lead.
The sherrin is thumped into the turf, the two ruckman converge with no clear winner, the ball hits the deck and it's stacks on the mill, the whistle is blown and we have another ball up.
Pannell bounces the ball again, the ruckman tussle for prime position, its tapped down behind Pannell into the empty space its now a 50 / 50 contest, Ling tried to get his hands clear but the ball is was locked in and we will have another ball up.
A lot of players around this stoppage, bit of a scrappy start to the quarter, it needs to be busted wide open.
Pannell slams the ball into the ground again, the sherrin rises into the air, ruckman with eyes on the ball. The ball spills out into space, Campbell Brown and Ryan Crowley are charging in for the ball at a million miles an hour AND BANG!!! WHAT A COLLISION!! Campbell Brown and Ryan Crowley just absolutley crunched someone while attacking the footy. Breathtaking stuff here!
Crowley and Brown are slow to get to their feet, a bit dazed sore. The 3rd person is still on the ground motionless. Let's cross to tigland down on the boundary line to find out who it is.
"Yeah thanks for that Michaels, there is a lot of worried looks down here in the Umpires dugout believe it or not, its actually Umpire Troy Pannell that was crunched in that contest. He couldnt get out of the way in time. Looks like they have called for the stretcher, he won't be taking any further part in this game"
