My ideas for the game I will run

Evil Roles

The Mafia
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mafia (6) - Win by eliminating all opposition to their rule of the town. Do not need to kill the Jilted Lover or the Crazy Survivalist to win.

The Godfather (1) - The head of the mafia. Will make the kills at night if there is no hitman. Is immune to getting killed at night (except by the Veteran or by the Gaoler) Can not be detected by the witness. Can control the decisions and the votes of other mafia members (eg if both the GF and the Hitman give me different targets I will take the godfathers decision. Likewise if the hitman votes to lynch someone in thread and the godfather tells him to lynch someone else in PM- the PM target will be the one I count. Can contact one person to negotiate.

The Hitman (1) - Is the player who makes kills at night on the godfathers behalf.

The Corrupt Police Officer (1) - Investigates people at night.

The Framer (1) - Will be promoted to GF if only they and the Hooker are left. May frame one person per night.

The Disguiser (1) - At one point during the game he can choose to take the powers of the person the mafia kills that night. The person who gets killed will be revealed as 'the disguiser'. If the disguiser is killer after taking on their disguise, the announced role will be their new one.

The Hooker (1) - Roleblocks one person at night. If the GF dies and the hooker is the last mafia member left, the hooker becomes GF.

Promotion - the players are listed in rank from top to bottom. Eg GF, Hitman, CPO, Framer, Disguiser and Hooker
If there is no Hitman the next player in line is promoted.
If there is no Godfather the next player in line is promoted.

Neutrals (6)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Head Vampire (1) -
May kill or convert but they can not convert on consecutive nights.
May have a maximum of three converts. Converted vampires can only win if the vampires win. If the head vampire is dead the vampires can not kill at night. The head vampire can not be killed at night. Any votes made by vampires to lynch someone will not be counted. If the head vampire is converted at night and the maximum number of converts has not been made they will automatically convert whoever roleblocks them. If the maximum number of converts has been reached they will automatically kill whoever roleblocks them. The head vampire will be informed of the roles of any converted player. The head vampire will be informed if a converted player is promoted. The head vampire can control the night actions of converted players. Can contact one person to negotiate. The person they contact will know they are Head Vampire. They win by eliminating the mafia and the town. They do not have to eliminate the SK, the Jilted Lover, the Arsonist, the Witch or the Crazy Survialist to win.

The Serial Killer (1) - Wins if they are still alive and there is only one mafia and one town person left. Can not be killed at night (except by the veteran or the gaoler) Converted players will not count as mafia or town people (eg if the hitman and the GF are still alive but the hitman was converted- it counts as only one mafia). If they are role blocked by an escort, hooker or by the gaoler they will automatically kill the person who role blocked them. Can leave messages on the corpses of people he kills. Recognises the Arsonist is a kindred spirit and will not kill him.

The Jilted Lover (1) - Is given one target. They win the game if their target is lynched and they survive to the end. Can not be killed at night (except by the gaoler) until their target is dead. The kind of person that a GF, HV or Mayor may want to negotiate with.

The Crazy Survivalist (1) - A person who is only interested in surviving. Three times during the game they can choose to move to a different hideout. On nights when they move they can not be killed (unless by the gaoler). They win if they are still alive when the game ends. The kind of a person a GF, HV or Mayor may want to negotiate with.

The Witch (1) - Wins by surving until the end of the game. Uses a spell during the day which tells them the role of the person they converted. They can control that players night actions. This even takes precedence over orders from the the GF or Head Vampire. The kind of person the HV may want to negotiate with. They may contact one person to negotiate. That person will know they are the witch. If they negotiate with the mafia or with the mayor (and both know the role of the other) they can survive in the event of a mafia or a village win.

The Arsonist (1) - Wins by surving until the end of the game. Every night they may pour gasoline on someone's house. At one point in the game they may decide to start a fire. Everyone they have doused will die (except the Crazy Survivalist if they have moved hideout since getting doused). Can not douse the serial killer and can not be killed by the serial killer. Players like the GF who can not get killed at night will still die. Anyone who visits a house that is burning will die. Recognise the Serial Killer as a kindred spirit and will not kill him. [/code]

Good Roles

The Town (20) - These are not all the town people in the village. But these are the only town people with the courage to fight the evil. They win by eliminating the mafia, the vampires, the serial killer, the witch and the arsonist.

The Mayor (1) - Led by a Mayor. Cannot be lynched. The mayor may negotiate with one other player who will know they are the mayor. On two occasions after the death of the mayor, one of the citizens will become Mayor. The new Mayor can negotiate with one player, not restricted by any previous negotiations. The Mayor will find out the role of anyone they negotiate with (unless that player is in disguise). Will be informed if any houses are doused.

The Doctor (1) - May heal one person per night. That person will not die (even from arson). At one point during the game they may revive one person killed the night before. Cannot heal themselves. Will be informed if the person they healed was attacked.

The Sheriff (1) - May pick one player to investigate per night. Will not figure out if the player they are investigating is in disguise.

The Witness (1) - Can pick a player to investigate at night. Will be told if they are evil if they are mafia, the SK, a vampire or the arsonist. Will be told the GF is innocent. Can pick up the Disguiser.

The Bodyguard (1) - May guard one person per night. That person can not be roleblocked, gaoled or killed. If the person they guard visits anyone they will be informed. Cannot guard themselves and cannot guard the same person on consecutive nights. Is immune to getting killed at night

The Medium (1) - Takes part in the dead mans PM. Whilst alive they can pick one person. After dying they can give me a message to send to that person on three occasions.

The Priest (1) - Marries two players at the start of the game. If one dies then the other kills themselves - including players who are normally immune to death at night (like the GF or the SK). If he marries the Jilted Lover to his target then the Jilted Lover becomes an ordinary citizen.

The Veteran (1) - Three times during the game (the player can pick what nights) they will have flashbacks to Nam. Anyone who visits them that night will be killed- even if they normally have night immunity.

The Vigilante (1) - Kills during the night. If they kill a town person during the night they will not be able to kill anyone the next night. Cannot be killed at night. Cannot kill on the first night.

The Gaoler (1) - During the day they may pick one person to imprison during the night. That person will be roleblocked and cannot be killed that night (even by the arsonist). The Gaoler will be in PM with the imprisoned person. The Gaoler may choose to execute people they have imprisoned. However if they executed a Town Person they will lose this power. They can execute people who are normally immune at night. If they imprison the serial killer and do not execute him they will automatically be killed. Cannot execute the Hooker or the Escort because he is a lonely man. Loses his execution rights if he executes the Mayor or the Godfather. Will automatically be converted by the head vampire if there are any free spaces for vampires.

The Escort (1) - Can roleblock one person per night. Will be automatically killed by the Serial Killer and automatically converted/killed by the Head Vampire.

Town Random (1) - Randomly gets one of the good town roles (except Mayor). So there could be two Sheriffs or two Mediums.

Citizens (8) - Ordinary people. If the mayor is killed the new mayor will be drawn from here.

So thirty two people.

On Negotiations

These following players can negotiate - The Godfather, The Head Vampire, The Witch and the Mayor. Each player can choose to negotiate with one other player. This is done in by telling me during the day. I will open up a PM between the two individuals. The person a player communicates with will know the role of whoever started the negotiations. The Mayor will find out the role of the person they negotiate with.
Normally the Mafia and the Town need to kill the Witch to live. However if the Witch can come to agreement with the Godfather or the Mayor they do not have to be killed. This agreement will not be broken if there is a new witch or a new mayor.
The serial killer and the arsonist can not be negotiated with and will automatically kill whoever attempts to open negotiations.

-----------------------------------------------------------
On Night Immunity

The following players are immune at night - the Godfather, the Head Vampire, The Serial Killer, The Jilted Lover (until his target is dead), the Crazy Survivalist (when moving hideouts) and the Bodyguard. However they can still die at night if 1) They visit the Veteran during his Nam flashbacks 2) They open negotiations with the Serial Killer or Arsonist III) If they are executed by the Gaoler or IV) They are killed by the Arsonist

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On Investigations

The Sheriff and the Corrupt Police Officer may investigate players at night. They are not told actual roles but are given information. They will not notice if the Disguiser is in Disguise.

This Person dresses improperly - If they investigate the Escort or the Hooker
This Person is Old - The Priest or the Witch
This Person thirsts for revenge - If they investigate the Jilted Lover or the Vigilante
This Person owns weapons - If they investigate the Bodyguard, the Hitman or anyone framed by the framer.
This person reeks of death- If they investigate the medium or any vampire
This person seeks information - if they investigate the Sheriff or the CPO
This person was near a crime scene - if they investigate the witness or the framer
This person is good with knives - If they investigate the serial killer or the Doctor
This person lives behind fortifications - If they investigate the Veteran, Crazy Survivalist, The Gaoler or the Godfather
The person likes fire - If they investigate the Arsonist
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Death Notes and Wills

The serial killer may leave death notes on the corpses of people he kills.

People with roles may type up something in PM (before they die) which will be revealed when they die

The rules are no goodbye posts. When you're dead, you're dead. If someone breaks the rule, I would prefer that either they or the mods delete the post. Simple as that.

It's a game. Just follow the rules please.
Apart from the fact that I didn't even read the post, as I made my post right after reading my death, then subsequently scrolled up from the last post made, making comments, the rule is stupid anyway.

Future mods please make note that it is fine to make goodbye posts if it does not pertain to actual game information in any shape or form.
