RULES

Night Phase: 8pm - 9am ACST

Day Phase: 9 am - 8 pm ACST

In case of rain, playing hours may be extended the next day, up to a maximum of 30 mins or 8 overs.

THIS GAME HAS NEW ROLES. PLEASE READ THE OP CAREFULLY.

Basic Rules:
At the beginning of the game each player is given a 'role' at random and in secret (via PM) by the moderator.


The aim of the Villagers is to identify and kill all of the evil factions before the evil factions can kill enough villagers so that (# of e.g. Werewolves = # of Villagers). Only one faction can win.

How are players killed?
Each 'turn' of the game will last approximately 24 hours and also represents one 'day' of game time, thus a game will go on for several days before it is concluded. There are two 'phases' to every turn of the game;

Night Phase (8:00pm – 9:00am):When factions secretly decide among themselves, via PM communication, which Villager (one per night) that they shall kill and then inform the moderator via PM. Others with a Night action also enter their actions now via PM to the Mods. Decisions for the night phase are to be in no later than 9am.

Day Phase (9:00am – 8:00pm):After the results of Night actions have been announced, everybody, Villagers, Cricketers, Werewolves and Mafia alike, discusses and ultimately votes publicly in the game-thread upon which player (one per day) that they shall lynch and kill. Votes for the day phase are to be in no later than 8pm.

Obviously during the day the Villagers will want the group to vote for and lynch an evil player, whilst the evil players themselves will want not to be lynched; herein lies the fundamental strategy of the game:
Can the villagers identify the evildoers whilst at the same time convincing the rest of the group that they're not evil? And can the evildoers convince the group that they're not evil at all and thus avoid being lynched?

Werewolf Etiquette:

There are two main rules which everyone must follow in order for the game to run successfully;

DEAD PLAYERS MUST LEAVE THE GAME
If you are killed at any point during the game then you are no longer allowed to participate although I will allow a farewell post, but that post cannot impact the remainder of the game.

THERE MUST BE NO PRIVATE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN PLAYERS EXCEPT WITHIN THE GROUPS LISTED BELOW
Except for the above-mentioned groups sending PMs between themselves, other forms of private communication concerning the game are not allowed.

Anyone caught sending screen captures of BigFooty of any kind in this thread will be mod-killed instantly with no warning.

Anyone caught quoting PMs from the mods will be mod-killed without warning.

Missing 2 lynch votes in a row or 3 votes in total will see you mod-killed. Missing 2 night actions (if given a role) will see you mod-killed. You may choose to not use a night action but you must state so in your PM.

For this game we will not be using the Reason for Lynching rule. Vote for anyone for any reason at any time during the Day Phase.

Voting:
During the Day Phase players must vote for whom to lynch, your vote must be formatted in bold like this: Player Name.

For this game you may not vote NO LYNCH.

Upon the voting deadline (end of day-phase) the votes will be tallied by the moderator and whoever has received the most will be lynched and be out of the game: remember, once killed you cannot take further part; do not reveal your roles to anyone until the game has been concluded.

Any ties in voting will result in both players being lynched.



ROLES:

EVIL

The England and Wales Cricket Team
Joe Root - captain - godfather
Has the power to use his contacts to find out the role of any other player during night phase. Immune to night kills (except by David Warner). He seers as a "cricketer", but not specifically as his true role.
Stuart Broad - vice captain and blackmailer
Has the power to blackmail one player each night phase. The following day a blackmailed player may only post using quotes from "The Twelfth Man" recordings. Failure to do so will result in modkill. He takes over seering duties if Root is killed.
Jimmy Anderson - thug
Swings it both ways and assists team England with the overnight dismissal
Alistair Cook - roleblocker
Has the power to stonewall the opposition. Can block one other player's action during the night phase.


The Australian Cricket Team
Steve Smith - captain - godfather
Can ask the ACB the identity of any other player during the night phase. Cannot be dismissed at night (except by Ben Stokes). He seers as a "cricketer", but not specifically as his true role.
David Warner - vice captain - Wants a Root
Has the special power of being able to knock of Joe Root if he can catch him alone in a bar at night. Warner may make 2 guesses (maximum one/night) during the game as to the identity of Root. If he finds him, he punches him to death. If he succeeds in killing Root he earns a one match suspension and the Australian Cricket Team misses all their actions in the next night phase.
Mitchell Starc - thug
Assists with the overnight dismissals with his searing yorkers.
Nathan Lyon - spinning thug
Has the ability to choose one player to try to spin out on nights 2, 4 etc. He nominates a player and they are asked some Ashes Trivia by the moderator. If they don't answer correctly they are killed.

The Ex-cricketers (featuring the best of the best to represent one of these great sides)
Monty Panesar - alpha wolf
Has the ability to find out the role of any other player during each night phase. Is immune to night kill, except by Ben Stokes. He seers as a "cricketer", but not specifically as his true role.
Phil Tufnell - roleblocker
Tuffers keeps his target busy all night watching highlights of his fielding. The target cannot take any action that night.
Shane Warne - texter wolf
Spends most of his time sending unsolicited texts to female nurses and reporters. Each night however, Warney can choose to either:
(a) send a message anonymously to another player, or
(b) receive a random snippet of another group's PM. (Chosen by moderator)
Ashley Giles - wolf
The King of Spain doesn't actually do very much with the ball, but is a loyal team player.

The Wildcard
Kevin Pietersen
KP has tremendous skill, but no great loyalty to any team. One the first night he can choose any of the teams (good or evil), and join them as an extra player. He will be added to their PM.
KP has the power to kill any other player on nights 3, 6, 9 etc. He seers as a "cricketer", but not specifically as his true role.

NEUTRAL

The Serial Killer
Ben Stokes
Stokes has the ability to beat another player to death in the night phase. He seers as a "cricketer", but not specifically as his true role. Is immune to being arrested, or dismissed at night, as he is out nightclubbing during these hours.


GOOD

The Umpires
Rudi Koertzen (vigilante)
The "slow finger of death" has the power to dismiss any player during the night phase. Shares a PM with Billy Bowden.

Billy Bowden (spare vigilante)
Doesn't make decisions by himself, but shares a PM with Rudi Koertzen. Takes over the vigilante role if Rudi is killed.

The Third Umpire (seer)
Is all seeing and always makes the correct decision. (Unless he decides it is "Umpire's Call"). Can seer one player each night phase. Is not in the PM with the other umpires.


Cricketer Wildcards

3 players will become special wildcard with special powers. They will seer as a "cricketer", but not specifically as their true role.

The Fake Cricketer
Mitch Marsh
Believes that he is actually a cricketer. Finds out very quickly that he is not. May still seer as a cricketer, but not as his actual role.

Rafael Nadal
One of the best tennis players of all time. Will receive a special role.


All other players will be cricket fans with no special roles.
