you could put schulzy in a football factory for 2 hrs and he would be lucky to get a handful of kicks.sheesh he was terrible again last night its time for him to find some footy and form at coburg.

Bwahaahaaa to lets see, how long has it been the same, its time line?
RIght now, he is our best option at FF for his straight kicking, until someone else steps up and lets this dude get back to CHB,where IMO is his premium position, we will be sayiung the same, its about time he found some footy. He was a star at CHB last year against the cats at skilled and since then he hasnt played there. Extemely concerning moves by the brains trust. I will even go as far as to say, they are now "hoping" for rabbits to appear out of hats, and forgetting to see the obvious. ;)

You have got to be kidding?
- Sure he didn't have his best game for the club last night but if a few thing went his way he could have easily had 4.
- He played his 2nd best game of AFL last week and has showed a bit in all the games his played this year
- Has kicked 9 goals in 4 matches, therefore he is on par to get 40+ for the year
- Who would replace him? Reiwoldt? NO WAY! That would be way too unfair on Jack having to play against the Weagles 2nd best defender on debut. Jack still isnt big enough to play the Key Position role Jay does. Huges won't replace him after one good game at the Burgers

Replace Jay Schultz. Stupid

Jay has played at CHB since that Geelong game you probably can't remember it because his games weren't memorable. He play there agaisnt the Saints and got kill by Riewoldt and the same thing happen agaisnt either the dogs or weagles at the end of the season.

Jays best position is in the foward line, esspecialy now he had put extra kilos on

-yep he had a shocker last night he played like he usually does.
the fact last week was his second best game for the club just shows how poor he has been overall. and apart from last week he has been ordinary.
-9 goals in 4 matches for one of your kpp probably slightly below par. the trouble is if he doesnt get one or 3 goals a game you quite literally get nothing else out of him.
-who would replace him. well i thought polak already has. bring young jack in as the third tall option after all jack has already got a yr under his belt playing against men in the vfl.one other option up forward is mcguane. played there as a junior and was drafted as a forward.
its high time wallace stopped handing out cheap games to perennial underachievers.

one thing you need to factor in is that in the games that you suggest he got killed in, we were getting killed. His attack on the ball is required down back. He would work well with Luke who also attacks the ball with speed. The rest wait and hope that the bounce will go their way. FFS you talk about the Reiwoldt game and it was like standing in front of a tsunami for the sarge. ;)

i agree schulz should be tried down back i just dont think he has the neccesary smarts to play back.or the required second efforts when the ball hits the ground. if he could develop as a backman it would mean at the very least when he goes missing up forward we could throw him around to get him into the game. good for him and good for the team.the trouble for me is though i dont think he has the goods.

beg to differ. He has the speed to compete and has the smarts to release. His problem is getting the leather in his hands, or getting to where the ball is. When you have a player that continues to be starved of ball in the FL, you put him where its at. When it comes to the tigers, its at more often than not in Richos direction and if not there, into our defensive 50.
The bonus is that the sarge is a dead eye dick 80% of the time. So when you need something diffrerent, to swing a game or do something in the heat of a tight game, you can swing him into the FL to nab a couple of majors. RIght now at FF the opposition smother him up, because they know who they dont want to be shooting for goal. ;)

lets just say we agree he should be given a go down back. for me this should happen at coburg.lets also say we disagree about his strengths and weaknesses.

Anyone commenting on this actually go to the match?

I did.

My comment from it are:

JON played very well off Half-Back.

Cleve Hughes was BOG, great second efforts and tried really hard, kicked some great goals.

Daniel Connors was BOG of the second Half, racked up about 20 possies in it and unfortuantly just missed taking an absolute screamer.

Riewoldt didn't do much, was rotated from the backline to the midfield to the forward line for most of the match, wouldn't think he would be in the side next week.

Danny Meyer was brilliant, great skills and was hard at it.

Cam Howat had 30 possies, used it well, is a cut above the rest in the VFL.

Patto tried hard and did a few good things, same with Gussy Graham.

Alistar Neville should be playing for Richmond, great mobility, is a tall Ruckman and knows how to kick goals.

bite you tongue dude. He dosent come with the standard, "needs time to develop" tag that makes him an automatic tiger.
Knows how to kick goals? and is a moblie tall ruckman?, when was the last time a player like that got the nod at tigerland? ;)

Music to my ears ... we need a couple like him to jump out of the shadows .

Good to hear Meyer had a good one too ... Pettifers spot is his for the taking at the minute

Lets see Schulz, Hughes, Jack Riewoldt forward line this week! :D :D

Mate, would put a smile on my dial. That would be great to see. Shultz in form, Cleve all australian CHF u18 level and Jack Riewolt in form and an excitement machine.... who would get dropped tho... Maybe P. BOwden

Mate he is our best forward at the club atm. Dead eyed dick on most occasions. Great over head. This week wasnt great i have a feeling he was bit worried about his sticthes but he will be back this week. Cant see him being dropped

Im expecting Shultz to be dropped this week.TW sounded very unimpressed with shultz,s effort on friday night

It's good to hear some of those young boys showing something in the burgers.

Can't wait till they force the duds out.

Heartening news to hear that Connors, Hughes, Patto and JON all made their mark.

Schultz won't be dropped, had a shocker, but the 3 games before that were servicable. TW may have been disappointed but that'll probably just mean a few more laps round Punt Road this week.

Great to finally hear some positive things about Hughes and Meyer!

Also nice to hear JON, Riewoldt and Connors are progressing nicely :thumbsu:

Bring in the kids TW
