Jacob Farrow is slowly but surely moving up or onto draft boards. He was clearly WA's best against the Allies playing in defence where he seems to feel most at home.

Cheers to noobermensch for this important player in focus video and why not check out all his videos on the Footy Stuff youtube channel.

Enjoy watching this kid, certainly no issues finding it and hitting a target. Next step to really solidify his credentials would be to step up into the the seniors at WP (which is semi-realistic considering how they are going) and be tested with a bit more pressure.
Would like to see if he can keep up the composure in a more manic game, while also showing some defensive acumen. Can be easy for u18s to look great off half-back as a pure distributor but not many get the luxury of that role at the top level.

Watching Hardeman tonight, they are a little similar, I think there is a place for those styled players.

Being an EF fan, I will be interested to see how McManus, Summerell and Nomlatyu go when the other teams get their state boys back....don't get me wrong, you can only play what's put up against you.....definitely will be a good test of their development, when they come up against the likes of Rodriguez, Swadling, Curtin, Whan etc post champs, especially finals time. McManus to me has been very impressive and consistent all season for EF colts.....now playing reserves
I’ve heard that McManus is playing league this week. Will be great to see how he fits in after a seemingly easier slot in reserves last week.

SF V Monts teams out. Looks like the State team will have 2 changes. Watson & Melody out, Robinson & Foster in.
Ok fair calls.

As I previously mentioned, I'd love to see Foster playing as an extra mid, ocassionally giving Van Rooyen a break in the ruck. Maybe even having 5 minutes up forward. He seems to have a big tank and people shouldn't be put off by his slightly ungainly style. This guy never stops working. Good pair of hands too!

I'm sure Robinson will spend a little bit of time mid but I reckon he's tall enough (6ft3) to play a role for WA as a marking, mobile forward.

Really good side by the looks of things.

16 ins for Claremont from state or PSA for the big game against South. What tremendous depth. Watch out if they sneak into the five by round 18 when they will have everyone available.

A big game would be handy for him. I hope that he gets an opportunity to play a "leading" role.

So often colts players are brought up to league and tucked away out of sight and in an unfamiliar position where they have no chance of showing what they can really do.

That's why I sometimes doubt the wisdom of elevating players up in their draft year. It can hurt more than help depending on the coach.

From now on in the season I'm going to post all the votes and games played for the club that has the bye. This week it is Subiaco.

Great to see Radojkovich back on the park, kicked some bags in futures a few years back, had some injury issues, and has looked good in his 2 games back.

On that effort on Sunday, can’t see too many or any getting drafted.

Just a poor effort across the board, thought we would put on a good show this year. Thought we had a solid group of kids, shame really our mid ranged players and even our "elite" players were a let down at the champs.

West Perth also have a bye and are currently 3rd.

In a very disappointing WA performance against Vic Metro on the weekend, Tylah Williams stepped up to play his best evergame (including for SD colts).

Creating and elusive and sometimes unpredictable, Williams showed many WA team mates what can happen if effort is brought to the game. Moving up the WA board here. Hopefully the state experience has done him the world of good and he should now be able to translate thatform into the colts for the remainder of the season.

Thanks to noobermensch for highlighting smokey draft hope Tylah Williams of WA and Swan Districts.

Continuing our club in focus posts for teams that have the bye. This is Claremont. Back in the top 5 and a danger to every other team when the comp goes full strength at round 18 or thereabouts.
