Yesterday was an unexpected win, seriously thought we'd get done with half a WAFL side out on the park on a ground we haven't won at in 22 years.

Maybe there is some life yet, but too much luck needed imo. Richmond will massacre us. Done and dusted first week of finals is looking the likely outcome.

We'd be sitting third if we hadn't shat the bed against St Kilda and Essendon, two sides that probably won't play finals. Unforgiveable.

As it stands, we'll probably be 7-8 after losing to Richmond, the Bulldogs and Sydney. We've also got Brisbane away and Melbourne at home in the back stretch of the H&A season. How many of those are we winning?

It's a great achievement for a side on the bottom of the ladder to go to WA and beat the Eagles. It's a decent achievement for any side to beat the Eagles over there.

When you're stone motherless last and three games clear of second last, beating a self-proclaimed premiership contender on their own dunghill is a brave achievement.

And, weirdly, it's not such a bad assessment. Your best is top 4 stuff - centre square clearance, forward fifty mark, goal; hyper efficient; beautiful to watch - but your worst - soft, non-competitive, complacent - is among the very worst.

You're not quite Schrodinger's cat. More the curate's egg.
