Can you guys lend us a J Carr for the weekend?Good luck lads, bring em dowm. If Freo can't make the 8 I hope the Eagles 7 opponents smashem.
Love,
Unashamed WC Hater
Hopefully they all get up. I want us to be playing the best available. Our first true test against a real premiership contender on a relatively neutral venue (well more neutral than Subi).
This should be a very good game considering they've both come off losses.
I hope Chick plays. Don't rate him.
No better time to play WC, no excuse if we lose next week.
What makes you say that?
They'd probably be thinking the same thing - no better time to play North.
We have Sansbury, Brown and Green in the side, and have Swallow who got -11 in Herald Sun player rankings, with nothing coming through from the VFL.
Thank God for Arch.
Judd is sore, Cousins was physiclaly buffeted and they are coming off a energy sapping derby - a match which often sees both sides flat as tacks the next week.
We have a big opportunity.
Judd is not fit and probably shouldn't be playing at all. I was sure I heard over there that some doctor said unless they give Judd about a 6 week break they're going to pay for it later on. Can you confirm that Scotty? I'm sure I heard that somewhere.
get hale to come off chf at the bounce and take out one of theire midfielders like he did to selwood...preferably cousins
lol yeh neither do i, however i thnk that hes a star and would be handy taking him out early lolThat was a neat 'how-do-you-do' by Haley. I thought Selwood done his shoulder but fortunately for him, didn't. I don't have rage at Cousins like much of the footy public seems to have...I have rage at the constant AFL incompetance. Only a handful of journos have had a dig at the AFL including Damien Barrett who has been munching the same angry pills as moi.
Interesting comments here greg. Brown = extreme limitations but you're spot on...and boy, alot of ppl know it. Still think all the media good passing comments (Healy) on Brown are a complete FARCE....they are not geniune. Healy is a JOKER. Make No mistake.
Green is one of dozen so players pushing for those last 3 OPEN spots on our BEST team IMHO and #16 is also part of that dime o' dozen.
Edwards... Beautifully said. I still think his LINKMAN role is his best position-role.
Whyman....Spot on greg. I knew Don McDonald's pre-season WHOO-HA hype about him was was OVER the top... and I was appaulled at that also!
And lastly but not least, Mr Bigglesworth. Is definately on his last roll of the dice...has showed something in the last two weeks and it's all up to him to continue his good form. Seems to be playing a different role than that wasted defensive tagger role. One of the dozen fighting like a feral cat for those last 3 spots.
In summary...we are severely missing FLASH Campbell's CHASING & 1%er plays in the forward line.
Chick is out with a fractured larynx.
Judd will play, was down a bit this week, but the previous two weeks was OK. (OK for Judd = good for everyone else)
Traditionally the winner of the derby loses the next week, and the loser has a big win. Heres to keeping up traditions!
Sorry, I meant Freo traditionally lose after they win a Derby and win after they have lost. Our record is pretty good after, win or lose.WCE smashed the Blues the week after the last derby (R3) , so that 'traditional' theory blown out of the water for this year.
Second visit to TD for WCE this season. Last visit was a 1 pt loss to Ess. R11.
Coincedentally, a week after WCE wiped the floor with North in the final quarter in which North rebounded with a solid team performance vs the Saints in R11. Make out what you will. I like the verticle blue & white stripes in this one.

Its actually our third visit to the TD, we played the Doggies there two weeks ago, 87 point win.
It will be a lot closer than our earlier encounter, that I dont doubt. We now have a couple of injury worries apparently with Chick out and Waters out. Would have been alright as Nicoski blitzed in the WAFL last week and should have slotted straight back in but apparently there is a question mark over him as well.
I am hoping that the fact that North have been training since last October and have travelled the last three out of four weeks will give us a chance of winning this one due to them getting tired. Both teams need the win though so it should be a great game.
If we bring our "A" game, I wont be worried, we will win. The thing is we have seen little of it this year. Its more if we can win with our B+ game!Totally forgot about the Vick job on the Doggies. (sic).
Considering that the crowd will be right behind North, the HIGH STAKES on the line and don't overlook the 'rest' many of the North players had last week, (sic), we'll be right up to the challenge. Add Arch to the mix and the WCE better bring thier 'A game' to stand any kind of chance. Getting a few of your stars fustrated will be the key. JYD knows how to set gameplans to 'control the tempo' unlike the sick lost skinny puppies.
