Good work by the club and it'll be interesting to see how he develops. Does anyone know if he actually nominated for the draft at all or had he already chosen to pursue baseball at that stage

Don't really expect him to play until the later part of 2016 even into 2017. It will be a big adjustment.

Id assume that's now. While such a sprint time would be remarkable for an 18 year old going through the combines it's not as impressive for a 21 year old (still very very fast).
Ambitious for a 2015 goal. :O

I'm very excited about this.
He's a massive West Coast fan and if he plays with the same heart and hunger that JD plays with then he's going to be at the very least serviceable. He'll have a good set of mentors and will be set up to succeed. Costing the club absolutely nothing in terms of other opportunities.

Looks to have already changed shape a bit though. Don't think it's something he's just decided to do overnight.
