The first game of the season is approaching and this is just to let everyone know what your role will be in the coming season. Also if you want to put forth your case to be included in the round 1 side then by all means do so. :D The following is a list of the players in the Magic team with a short bit about each player and who they play like (not how good you are but how you play, example, you play like Carroll, can go forward but more of a tall backmen who can play in a KP) this doesnt mean you are of Carroll's skills, just you play a similar type game. OK....

Midfielders
Jod23 - rover/midfielder. Cousins like, star of team, etc etc :D
Visro - in and under midfielder. Kerr type player.
Goldenblue - running left footed midfielder. Fletch type.
Blackthunder - rover through and through. Almost Kemp like.
Mead - mid sized midfielder, can play wing. Like Judd/Pe Matera
USAEagles - tall midfielder who can go forward or back..utility almost. Chick like.
Au_Blue#24 - midfielder in a Braun mould, can play back if absolutely needed.
TheRealBuzz - midfielder, Banfield clone, can tag.

Forwards
GoEagles - Forward first and foremost, Haynes like.
Rzrblade - Embly type player...can play wing and forward flank
Mentalgrind - small forward Fido style
Raelene - small forward..can play midfield. Sampi
MrQ (FF) - one dimensional FF. Cumming or Wilson all over.
Iceman (CHF) - classic CHF Tredrea style.
the_gur - small forward, pocket or hff. Sampi like, can play anywhere in the forward line.
mouldy_bread - forward tall, can play in a KPP. Gaspar style.

Defenders
Davers11(CHB) - One dimensional CHB mid 90's type Jako
Uncle Tony(FB) - can fill in at CHB or FB, matchups permitting Glass like
Qidds - tall, can fill in KP. Carroll type.
Thrawn666 - utility defender mid sized, think Hunter
Larrikin - small defender, quick and can push into midfield and tag, think Wooden
WestCoastStre - small defender. Read like
Carneagles - rebounding hbf, can play midfield. Green/Wirrpunda like

Ruck
MrEagle - number 1 ruckman, can go forward. MG all over.
Noodle - backup ruckman. Cox like, can go forward.

So their you go, thats our squad and each players style of game. I made up a lot of your styles, I asked for them in earlier threads but only about half of you gave responses. So they got preference, the rest I just made up.

Who wants a spot in Round 1? :D

Not hard, considering you were the bookies' favourite to be the first player to 'go Capuano' this season ;) Get thee behind me, backup boy!

If this season is anything like the Eagles real season, you'll have 2 rounds to perform, if you dont then GoEagles will be given the spot at FF. (And a fair amount of time to perform too) ;)

Me, I have also impressed in the preseason as well, and I'm not guilty of punching that guy out. He was gagging for it anyway. Actually, I've had a pretty full preseason, as a matter of fact:

[Transcript of proceedings]

Commissioner: [deleted], you are duly sworn. Proceed.
Counsel Assisting: Mr [deleted], it is alleged that you are a high profile player for the West Coast [deleted] Football Club, is that correct?
C1: Correct.
Counsel Assisting: What do you say to the allegation that you were offered a bribe by a [deleted] to become a member of the Fremantle [deleted] Club?
C1: That's a [deleted] load of [deleted] [deleted] [deleted]. Anyone who says [deleted] can take a [deleted] and [deleted] [deleted] [deleted]. Three times, and then twice sideways. As far as I'm concerned they can take those [deleted] anchors and [deleted] [deleted] [deleted]. And then inflate them. And that [deleted] club song, I mean, "[deleted] way to go", why the [deleted] are you asking us which way to go? If you don't know the [deleted] way by now there's no [deleted] point even asking. You [deleted].
Counsel Assisting: Thank you.
C1: [deleted]

Banfield?! You couldn't be more wrong.

I'm the bloke who turns up to pre-season training 20kg overweight, with a VB in one hand and a cigarette in the other.

Forward pocket is my position. I don't chase, nor do I lead all that much. My real area of expertise is standing in the goalsquare, jumping up and down, screaming for my team-mates to dish it off to me. And I'm not afraid to voice my disapproval if they selfishly take that 20m kick out straight in front.

Sure, leadership isn't my strong point, but I'm always the first to don a frock for the end of season player review. And you can't put a price on that.

One dimensional????

The dash of Peter Matera combined with
the defensive prowess of Dustin Fletcher plus
the ball skills of Nathan Buckley.
All this in a 200cm 102kg package.

That is what you really meant isnt it Jod??

Sorry I couldnt compare you to an Eagles player, it's just that the Eagles dont really have a traditional CHF.

Judd/Matera like.. pfft.

What have those guys ever done? thats like calling Andrew McLeod 'Schammer like'. Once the above hacks have put some runs on the board, they might be considered worthy to be mentioned in the same sentence as me :) :)
