Whats the dif between average and poor???

Sorry to say but the game has past licca.

WTF. I defend Lockyer against all the idiots on this site. Does that mean I'm Lockyer's mum(or in this case,dad)???

But, I do agree with some points, not all. Licca's in a bad patch ATM, but he is a fighter, and I reckon he'll give the game another shot next year, and be a bloody good player. Use this year for rehabilitating after his injuries.

If you remeber correctly he was carrying an ankle and hip injury for the majority of last year. He seems to have shaken it off though for this season.


As for a poor game on Saturday, he wasnt the best and he wasnt the worst.
He was average I would say, but I wouldnt say he was poor. I think people are just kicking hi while hes trying to get back up!

im not kicking him while he is down, simply suggesting giving him a big role which he may relish as he used to do those types of roles for us all the time

not having a go, bit like fraser last year going alone vs cox and seaby, tell licca he is going to go play on kerr and we need him to blanket him out of the game, reckon he would work his arse off to make it happen

last year he never seemed to have any big roles to base his game around, sort of just floated through games without having much impact

so tagging kerr gives him something to focus on, may be exactly what he needs

Judd: Racer, still has the speed to go with him, and has done it before, we missed him last year over there.
Kerr: Has to be lica. Kerr aint the quickest player in the world, but loves the in and under stuff, just like lica, get him back doing what he does best.
Embly: Lonie. Did the job last week on wells, and embly will be slightly underdone, i dont care if lonie only gets 10 touches, as long as embly gets less than him.

Rocca: Get him to take Glass out of the square, push up to CHF, bring in ****, play a small forwardline of ****, tarkyn and davis and medders. will force them to bring some of their midfielders out of the action.

Davis: Play for the wirra match up, davis is a bit quicker and alot slicker around the goals.

Fraser: Play him as a Goodes type midfielder/ wingman, if they move staker onto him, get josh into the ruck, keep him moving around to create the miss match.

Hopefully malthouse is true to his word that only those who are playing well will play in the 1sts.

For mine, richards has to go, either play one ruckman, or bring in bryan. Richards is a liability and should be gone at years end.

I dont think that wakelin has a match up, and is getting older, keep him fresh from the long trip and bring in a small like **** or nicholls.

Gigantor (licca) isnt fast enough for Kerr, i dont think we have anyone who can match up on Kerr for pace, skill and aggresion.. Thats why hes capitain of my Dreamteam this week Get on it

That trick isn't that effective. If Staker goes to the wing Lonie will take him. Lonie doesn't get dwarfed that often and as soon as he goes to the backline someone will just switch. Our backline switches oponents on the go all the time. Feel free to correct me but I don't think Staker is a great one on one player or contested mark for his size.

I'll correct you, Staker takes a great contested mark for his size. See early 2006. However he has yet to fully convince anyone he's in our best 22 and is a little dodgy in one on ones.

Lets face it,guys.
We don't have anyone to match up on the likes if Kerr and Judd.
But why play defensive?
Lets try and exploit them them in their area of weakness.
That is,them trying to match up on small forwards.
Panda has no defensive skills,and their their next best back pocket is Chick.
Both are are good players,but they are not the best at manning up one on one.The are both play makers.
I reckon we play a small and fast forward line.
That way,Glass gets dragged out of the action,and out of his comfort zone.
Wirra has to man up.(which he hates doing),and Chick will lose his cool and eventually snot someone,because he can't play his usual free floating role either.

Probably Clement if they consider Mitch a big enough threat, if they don't, he may run riot(please?).

To those saying we have no back pockets apart from Wirra and Chick, think again. We have Waters and Selwood who can easily stop a lot of good small forwards.

And to those saying stopping our small forwards 'may be decisive', it won't work. As much as I love Army, he's just not that important, our midfielders work much better in that role, and good luck stopping them.

Anyways, good luck on the weekend, although I hope we thrash you lot.
