van Berlo!
His scores have been increasingly good over the recent weeks - with a 130 and 92 over the last two weeks. I have made a graph of his expected season to come, sorry it is very very scientific so you might not understand it.

Picked him up at the start of the year. Cant go past the 100 000 odd hes gone up in value so far. :D:thumbsu:

Re: adelaide vs west coast

Why not?

It worked perfectly well against the Kangaroos. The run they both provide is phenomenal.

I agree it worked and they play that role perfectly, but...

The Kangaroos of 2007 have been playing an open running attacking game, similar to bulldogs and carlton in that respect. This then leaves themselves open to opposition rebound from defence.

West Coast don't play like this, their defensive pressure is much better than the Kangaroos. I can see this game being a similar stalemate to the Geelong game. What we would have given for a good crumber in that game. You may actually remember Johncock went forward then and provided a spark.

We just need something special up forward, because remember also that poor old welshy will get one of the best backs in the comp again...Darren Glass.

Hunter is a player we must watch if pushed forward. I think Stevens would be a good matchup for him, leaving Bassett to do his own thing.

Very important point. We need to play a strong tall forward line so he is needed in the back lines - otherwise if he goes up forward, he is bound to kick a bag full.

How does losing yesterday help the Eagles win next week.

For me, the Weagles look far from their best & with our players returning there is no reason why we can't inflict a 2nd straight loss.

Spot on Kane I worry about how fragile we will be this week I'm not usually this down about our games but I am concerned in what I see.

Our inaccuracy is a huge problem when we play away ( Oh and at Home ) we are going to have to make every score count this weekend.

For the love of god can someone please, please watch Hunter for a change. You'd think craigy would learn after the first prelim, but 2 is where we really should draw the line.

Our magic weapon - Scotty Stevens, with Massie on Embley & Shirley on Kerr ... & all out attack with the rest!

Glass on Roo maybe?

I rekon we should keep Roo in the forward line for most of the game to keep Glass away from Welshie.

Will be interesting at selection this week. It seems Reilly, Perrie and possibly Goodwin will be ready to resume.

First change I'd make would be Reilly in for Jericho. I think Jericho's performance against the Kangaroos will see him still in the mix if injuries occur, but he simply isn't in the best 22 at the club with what is available.

If Goodwin is fit, I'd bring him in for Porplyzia. Not that Porplyzia has done anything wrong.

Perrie will need to go back to North Adelaide IMO. His formline before his injury was not as good as the form of Welsh, McGregor and Bock now. Perrie will need Bock to not come up to get a chance.

I think Stevens has consolidated his spot in the first 18, so can only see Perrie making it back through injury to someone else.

I'm feeling pretty confident the Crows will win this one. A win and all of a sudden top 2 is in the equation. A loss and there will be a crunch game the week after to just keep in the 8.

thats where your wrong, thats 2 losses in a row for them now...

and dare i say, about to become 3!! :thumbsu:

I did say "consecutive weeks"

The Eagles did not play the prior week

Saying it three times doesn't make it correct you know~! ;) Weagles have lost two in a row - doesn't matter if there's a week off in between, the last two times they have played, they have lost. Simple really.

If we are to get some momentum leading into the second half of the year, we not only need to beat WC this week but we need to pick them up and shack them around like a rag doll.

There is no better chance to do it with the players having a weeks rest, quality players to come back into the side and a somewhat depleted WC side. The Crows must win this one but they also need to make a statement to the rest of the competition that the Crows are back in town and ready to conquer all before them.

C'mon you Crows.

With Judd out we should be able to focus a heavier tagging effort on Kerr. That's a big bonus and helps our chances. I hope we can win this week, God effing knows we owe them.
i'd say we owe them around to the tune of about 20 goals :thumbsu:

maybe even more (secretly hoping for a geelong style anilhilation!!!)

Sportingbet have us favourites at $1.65 to $2.20 for WC.

Considering we've had a week off, players coming back, Judd/Hansen/Cousins and possibly Embley out, home ground advantage, WC in ordinary form and high motivation factor after last years PF heartbreaker we should be favourites too.

Im gonna drop $50 bucks on Adelaide. WC without Judd and Hansen are a poor mans Fremantle.

I'm gonna be backing Adelaide this week very heavily with at least $800 if not more. If we can't beat west coast this week who are missing Judd, Cousins, Hansen, and Embley who are all proven match winners then i don't think that we'll ever beat them.

Bay 114 here i come :thumbsu:
