I noticed there weren't any threads about how we have to travel heaps and don't play very well at the MCG so I thought I'd start the discussion.

What if we bought out Carlton and took over their base at Princes Park?

Here are my reasons:

- It would give us more games at the G and allow us to set up in Carlton when we play in Melbourne, reducing our travel time

- We'd be able to double our Cripps intake, reducing the need for us to look for another inside midfielder

- There are already too many teams and Carlton aren't very good so we'd be doing the competition a favour

- It would allow us to set up post-career pathways for our senior players, such as Masten becoming a Lygon St barista

- We already have a history of working cooperatively with Carlton with the Kennedy trade

- They're the navy blues, and we wear navy blue wings

Sure it would be an adjustment for Carlton but frankly I think they'd just be happy to have the attention.

I've thought about this for a couple of minutes and I can't think of any drawbacks.

Thoughts?

Would that make Chris Judd a one club player?

The bye makes it feel like the silly season has arrived early
I voted jack watts of course
Carlton were my most hated club - whilst my dislike has lessened due to their irrelevance and Judds retirement , the thought of merging with them makes me nauseous even though I know that this is not a serious thread
