Key Players
West Coast
1. Josh Kennedy - It's official, the big man (sans beard) is back. Kennedy returns to AFL footy from an ankle injury that has kept him sidelined for the best part of a season. Played a serviceable game for East Fremantle last week in which his strike partner Brad Dick had a memorable day exploding to kick 6. He will add some ammunition inside forward 50, and finally give Jack Darling the assistance he needs. However, we can't be too judgemental if he doesn't play to his best, but at the very least will unsettle the pies defence and provide tackling pressure on our Collingwood hoodoo man, Harry O.
2. Andrew Embley - Embers has had a couple of hit outs to shake off any ring rust and re-adapt himself to the speed, tenacity and pressure of AFL level. The time has come, close to finals, to really start to show his experience and provide some leadership for the younger blokes. Awareness and disposal must be at his best.
3. Daniel Kerr - Lives for these type of games, where so much is on the line. Given the way Collingwood play, it's likely he won't be tagged thus having freedom to create havoc through the midfield. Needs to play to his strengths which are hard ball gets and slick, creative disposal to team mates advantage. Can also pop up for some handy goals.

Collingwood
1. Dane Swan - What else can be said about this bloke, but a bloody good ball magnet. He has the ability to have a massive impact on the contest and quelling his influence will be key for most likely Scott Selwood, if a tag is put on him. Welcome return for the pies from a "in club suspension" and will be fresh and hungry for the footy. West Coast coaching staff must pay him due respect. With Jolly out, will look to rove the Eagles' ruck hit outs.
2. Harry O'Brien - Not traditionally one of the players you'd see in this type of list, but has a habit of playing like a superstar against the Eagles. Historically has had plenty of the ball and provided the pies with good rebound out of defence. West Coast's forwards need to apply the pressure that saw them be excellent exponents of the forward press in 2011 and early 2012.
3. Dayne Beams - Having a breakout season. Was asked to stand up in the past two weeks with Swan's absence and did so, racking up 38 disposals, 8 clearances and 5 inside 50's in the loss to North last week. Deadly accurate on goal, the Eagles' midfield will have to play close attention to the other (younger) man with the tattoos.

Summary
Big game - Top 4 spot up for grabs.
Tale of two teams here, West Coast coming off an unconvincing workmanlike win over Port in Adelaide, and Collingwood pantsed by North Melbourne in Melbourne. Will the travel West affect the pies? Unlikely, they are one of the better travelling sides and will be hungry to rebound from the loss lass week. On the other hand, it's hard to gauge how the Eagles will perform. The inclusion of Kennedy may shift the balance of power from the meeting earlier in the season at the G, but the Eagles were in much better form back then.
The midfield, I feel is where this game will be won, and on paper the pies have a royal flush, but if the Eagles midfield can keep them accountable it will then push the contests to other parts of the ground.
Based on current form, it's hard to go past Collingwood, and although they will playing in a cauldron type atmosphere full of parochial West Coast supporters, they should have enough in the arsenal to cement their spot in the top 4... just.

Verdict
Collingwood by 4 points.
