Well done JON. GREAT PERFORMANCE. Needs to play like this for another 2-3 games to be cosidered for selection. I have given him stick throughout the year but to be honest he deserved it as for a former AFL player the standard was not up to scratch. Today is what I expect of him in most games at WAFL level.

Notte playing seniors
Weedon playing reserves
Hansen, Cockie, J.Jones injured
Easts with the bye, so no Stevens, Houlihan action

Not seeing much selection pressure here.

Only changes will be injury or suspension.

JON in 2011 if consistant and fitter.

Kobe should come in if Hams suspended.

I now see how masten gets a game.

I could reflect on McKinlay replacing the Q

What an effort by JON!

Please ****ing tell me Notte played seniors this week. If he got 8 touches in reserves...

Notte played seniors and did SFA.

His intensity is in need of some serious work.:(

That aside the Krack played very well for The Little Black Ducks... but BOG was Ryan Brabazon. He looks to have come on leaps and bounds since Sydney cut him last year. Would be more than happy if we picked him up.

He has some genuine pace.:thumbsu:

It said on the wafl site that Weedon got 18 touches and 5 goals:confused:

Have a look at some the stats Swans reserve players get. They are a complete rabble. 8 touches for them would be good.

Saw Notte at the Deen last night. He's really still very skinny.. I'm 6'2" and 75kg and my arms are definitely bigger than his.

But then, you have to remember he's the same age as me and about a foot taller, and what sort of physical condition he was in 2 years ago.

Then you realize how truly unrealistic it is to expect him to go out and dominate a WAFL game at this stage of his career.

and equally unrealistic to expect him to ever dominate an AFL game if that is where he is after a few years as a full time professional.

You could have said that about Stevenson prior to this year. Wasn't really built that well and lacked endurance, he did show a bit but never really dominated a WAFL game, similar to Notte (Although Notte has played some really good quarters). Then at the start of this year he started consistently stringing together 25-30+ disposal games and broke into the side.

Remember it takes years to build up a decent weight for a KPF. About 5kg of muscle per year, while working off the added fat plus building endurance. He was drafted in 07 at around 70kg and is upward of 80kg now! So in another 2 or so years when he's above 90kg he'll definitely be making more of an impact.

So yes, give him time. Remember not only is he focusing on building his weight and endurance but also he's expected to play consistent football as well! If he's not looking good by the time his 2 year contract is up then yes we can start questioning him.
