Is Notte going to play? Would be great to see Lewis Broome make his debut in a grand final! They probably remember his exploits in the Colts grand final last year...

Swan's might stand a chance if they drop C Hinkley, he's usually good for a couple of goals to Claremont from his turn overs.

BROOME! :D

Really looking forward to this game, think Claremont will get up by 5 or so goals but should be a really good game. GO THE TIGERS! Absolutely stoked Broome's playing, been wanting to see him in action all year.

There's no guarantee Broome is playing.

I don't understand the derision of Notte and the love for an unproven Broome.

I get you don't like Notte, but his game, 3 games ago, was 22 HOs, 22 possies and 3.0 - do you consider that an average game? If it is, well bring on an above average one.

Swan's might stand a chance if they drop C Hinkley, he's usually good for a couple of goals to Claremont from his turn overs.

Ha, so it's not just me that thinks that about Hinkley? He was OK last game but him and Roach have cost us dearly in turnovers, particularly of late. Add Robinson, who's been average on the comeback from a LARS knee recon, but you can't make sentimental decisions for a GF.

True, probably over-reacted with excitement when seeing him in the team, hope he does though, would be great! Any reason why Weedon ain't making the team, injured? Or just not good enough?

Weedon's problem is twofold - low fitness base after hip operation at the beginning of the season and Claremont having a lot of depth so being unable to force his way into the team. He started a long way back.

I'll be amazed if Broome makes his league debut in a GF.

Is there a chance WC have instructed Claremont to bring him in the past couple of weeks on an extended bench to give him some motivation going into the pre-season?

Yeah, Weedons biggest problem has been his fitness base as Swannies said. Didn't get a full pre-season, and then had injury problems during the season, so hasn't been able to develop a fittness base at all.

And lucien, i reckon there's a chance WC may of done that. Then again, it ain't always a bad idea to have a quick, clever forward with the ability to kick goals very quickly as an emergency.

I would of thought WAFL finals would be out of bounds for instructions on listed players by AFL coaches? just doesnt seem right. But I guess being on an extended bench doesnt effect anyone.

I prefer to think he has earnt it, that way I can get excited about his prospects next year.

Broome 6 possies, 3 tackles and 1 goal and Weedon 7 possies and 1 goal have both made good starts in the WAFL ressies GF as at the end of the 1st qtr.
