And you can't seriously suggest that we need to win every game to be a chance.

Every other team has dropped points to a team they shouldn't. So can we.
This is true, every team can drop games they are expected to walk in. Hell even the reigning premiers lost to a team that essendon tore apart at their supposed “fortress”...

Yeah and most of the time it has a negative impact on ladder position. We need to now pinch one we’re not expected to, which may happen but often it doesn’t. It’s not season over, but at the end of the day four points is four points.

Tigers away is easy, they’re absolute shithouse we pumped them with no shuey.
As with Adelaide and yourselves, pumping up to take on the premiers seems to have consumed you.

Since your great home ground, umpired bias win it appears your still looking up at us.

The win seems to have really helped you ..... not!!

How didn't that help us exactly?

We are 2 games in the top 4 and level 1st on points. If we hadn't beaten Richmond then we would be in danger of slipping out of the 4 next week and wouldn't have gotten that 4% onto our percentage that a 7 goal win provides which could be important come September.

Sounds like it really helped to me.

You got Swans next week too. Don't count your chickens yet, mate.

When is Kennedy and Darling due back? Got enough inside 50s to kick a score, will struggle with out them. They’re the key it seems
Yep not wrong there, Kennedy due back next week if all goes well, Darling due back against the Pies in 3 weeks. But we need to find other goal kickers

Last night doesn't define WC. They had a pretty bad night, like every team can and will have. About this time last year St Kilda led Richmond at HT 92-10. Didn't matter 3mths later.
They are absolutely contenders.
Had a shocker of a night mate, no excuses just beaten by a better team. Just shows if you are off even 5% you get smacked. We have to learn from it and move on.

The midfielders are all front runners bar Yeo, Shuey (who is rusty) and Redden the rest need a good hard look at themselves
Think I underrate NicNat's effect on this team. He got a bath from Bellchambers and the midfield looked like the one Robert Walls predicted tonight (Yeo notwithstanding).

Stop being reasonable and troll like the others in this thread.

No one likes sensible and modest Richmond supporters.

When were they flag favourites?

Never. Adz is trolling as always - edited the thread title himself.

Naitanui is always by far our most influential player. Last night was evidence of this yet again.

But the nuffies will continue to spout s**t like 'Nokick-anui' and 'lolol less marks than his opponent' to downplay just how critical he is to our midfield.

Got to be one of the funniest posts I've seen recently; West Coast smashed you, no umpires required. And still trying to make everything about Richmond, even when no one is talking about you.

Only player that didn’t register a Mark??? Averages a career 1.9 marks a match... .6 goals... I’m sorry he doesn’t hurt the scoreboard and doesn’t dominate around the game.
Even Shaun “oven mits” Hampson caught the ball 2.7 a match.

Evenness of the comp, doesn't matter how good or bad a side is on paper, the one that wants it more usually wins. Melbourne are a better side than we are this year, yet were out worked when we played them, and Brisbane are a weaker team on paper, but took the absolute piss while making us look fourth rate. Essendon were better last night, but I think WCE are good enough to learn a few lessons and apply them in time for finals.

Yep sport. Completely agree it’s about hunger and desire. We will learn from that and move on

There's no other ruck in the comp that exerts aa much influence on his teams fortunes that NicNat does with west coast. He is easily one of the best in the comp around the contest. His stats simply don't tell the full story on how good he is.

I’ll have Nankervis everyday of the week ...

Nic Nat is big and his second efforts are ok.. but he is out of the game too much... doesn’t take enough marks around the ground.

West Coast average the most marks per game of any team.

So Naitanui not taking marks around the ground isn't a factor for us as we have heaps of marking options.

We play to our strengths.
Naitanui's strengths are tap work, clearances, contested ball, 2nd efforts and tackling.

General play marking a weakness, although he has won mark of the year, so not that weak.

Look you get the odd flukey result in football now and then, like Tigers thrashing a red hot Bombers.

Eagles went down to a team that destroyed Cats, ran way to beat Giants team away with Josh Kelly, Lions on their home ground. All without their star All Australian full forward who has been injured ALL year. We’ll trouble most teams on run home.

Eagles will bounce back when their two forwards return, unfortunately by then top two or four may be lost. They’ll struggle to win finals out of Perth.
