Now that this season is done and we are all celebrating I will give it a couple weeks to get really cracking on planning for Season 18 (started ages ago anyway).

So if you want to post your intentions for next season now or later down the track then it's all good. I will be sending out surveys once again to get your views on from Season 18 and onwards.

The Best and Fairest will be held probably in a couple of weeks time. I'll get cracking on that soon and set a date.

Cheers fellas.

From Premiership Captain, PVF

Statement from West Coast Wonders Vice Captain, DemonJim.

It is with a deep sadness that I announce my departure from the West Coast Wonders. A club that I started my SFA career at, a club that has nurtured me into the player that I have become, a club that has given me all the opportunity in the world to advance to where I am today.

A dual premiership player. VC of the best team in the SFA. Alf Andrews medallist. 3 All-SFA inclusions. Plenty of friends to abuse on FB.

This step was not taken lightly, nor does it come easy to announce after our eternal glory to close off Season 17.

I made this decision at the midway point of the season as I felt my posting was starting to suffer from a waning interest in the league and not wanting to fade away from this game as many have before me decided it was in my own and the leagues best interests for me to help in trying to get an expansion team off the ground (there was no other existing club that I would go to).

I would like to thank all of my past mentors and current teammates for making what I thought was a single season in holding (until the West Gate Trolls bid got off the ground) to a comfortable home for the past 4 seasons. ClarkeM, ShaunDuggan, Shallow and that douche Marklar_33, thankyou for being a solid leadership group that definitely increased my interest in the league. Thanks to my captain PVF for still sticking with me when I informed him of my move early, and also on the setup to our glorious premiership. It couldn't have been done any better! 6th to 1st baby!
TheFreshBanana for keeping this year entertaining for me. And to every single other Wonder that I haven't mentioned for making my time with the Wonders a memorable one.

I head off to the Bears to see if we can prove to be a viable bid for Season 18.
I look forward to coming up against some good friends in the coming S18 rounds.

Au revior auf wiedersehen and adieu. Good luck for S18.

Hugs and Kisses,
DJ.

Best of luck in your future endeavour DemonJim. Also, I've never been in no leadership group...have I?

Congratulations to PVF and the Wonders club, to win not just the Grand Final but week in week out in sudden death is a fantastic achievement. Enjoy the moment with each other and celebrate hard.

Well done great job guys
Thanks for the kind words. I look forward to giving you shit in Season 18 and beyond :D

Don't worry about the bloke that got you to the wonders thats fine.....
It was so long ago I can't remember...
But I seem to remember just picking a team that appealed to me... perhaps it was your manly stench I was drawn in by? Only the past knows.

Good luck at the Bears DJ.

A two time Premiership player, an AlfAndrews winner, 3 time and possibly 4 time All-SFA and potential Mobbs medal winner.

You've done great at this club and we appreciate your efforts.

Well done on the Premiership out of no where Wonders. Personally I didn't think it could be done after struggling to make the finals. You've proved many people including me wrong.

Statement from West Coast Wonders’ amateur dentist – Brown Bottle

It is with very mixed emotions that I too announce my departure from the West Coast Wonders.

Whilst it is exciting to be afforded the opportunity to join the professional agitator pantskyle (who convinced me to come to the Wonders in the first place) in trying to get the Las Vegas Bears’ bid up, I feel deep regret about leaving a club that has been like a home to me since the start of Season 17. It took me a few weeks to find the SFA board, a couple more to summon up the courage to post… and since then there’s been no looking back.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with all of you in the match threads. I have nothing but respect for PVF who has known about this since mid-season and was well within his rights to sideline me, but went the other way and threw me into the Ruck. I can’t even count how many teeth I’ve collected since that move. I have great respect for ClarkeM whose passion for the club and the game seems limitless. He also has lovely teeth.

I understand that I will now forever be labelled a turncoat flog. I take solace from knowing that most of the posters who do so are amongst the most turncoaty of flogs.

I look forward with great anticipation to meeting you, my teammates, on the Qooty field in Season 18, and thank you in advance for your contribution to my tooth collection.

Hugs & kisses,

(The real) BB
