I need the extra rounds to make a run.

No but a timely comment before we do the final two rounds. We clearly used all our energy getting to the finals but last after R8 to finishing fourth but it was a fun ride. Elton Johns Wig was a great sport in our winning run so it was only fitting he became our Mr Finals. Well done EJW on being our player of the finals.

Down to the last two games. Cactus_ still leads with 26 but the pack is closing in. U2 is on 23 and Okey flying home with 22. JT has 19, haydo 18, SD and Sab with 16.

Different system mate. Only one lot of 5-4-3-2-1 instead of all LG doing a 3-2-1.

R16 – West Coast Wonders vs Coney Island Warriors at the GBK Stadium, Jakarta, Indonesia

The First Quarter​

International round saw us jet off to Jakarta. Despite both teams on 8-7, the Wazzas had been in a slump so a change in scenery at least got them a holiday! Also great interest in the race for the Fred with Okey and Joe bringing in the locals and they didn’t disappoint with Joe and Okey kicking the opening goals. Both teams kicked five goals for the quarter with SD (2), KBLT and Cactus_ giving us a 2 point lead.

The Second Quarter​

A tight second quarter where we kicked three of the five goals to lead by 9 points at half time. KBLT kicked a beauty from the boundary, SD kicked a goal after some great team play and…… EJW announced he was back kicking an inspirational goal.

The Third Quarter​

The close game continued with three goals each. Crowey took advantage of a big U2 bomb hit out and kicked a goal within 20 seconds of the bounce! Okey kicked his second and third goals but they kicked the last three goals of the quarter. Wonders by 9 points.

The Final Quarter​

Zackah kicked the first goal to bring them within three points but then we went Wooshka. EJW kicked two in a row and Okey did the same to bury them. Wonders bolted away to win by 31 points. Finals were assured!
