He's back!

No, not Chris Gayle. But after a nearly 3 year absence from international cricket, Tino Best makes his return. Well I'm excited at least. He has always been a fun player.

Anyway, here is the rest of the squad...

Darren Sammy (capt), Denesh Ramdin (vc), Tino Best, Devendra Bishoo, Darren Bravo, Dwayne Bravo, Johnson Charles, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Kieran Powell, Kemar Roach, Andre Russell, Marlon Samuels
Unfortunately for the Windies, Rampaul, Barath and Simmons weren't available due to illness/injuries. While Fidel Edwards isn't playing ODIs, to better manage him for the Tests.

With the injuries to key batsmen, they have responded by bringing in 23 year old Johnson Charles with the astounding average of 20. But hey, it worked for Australia and Peter Forrest.

So I would expect the Windies to line up as...

Kieran Powell
Dwayne Bravo
Darren Bravo
Marlon Samuels
Kieron Pollard
Denesh Ramdin
Andre Russell
Darren Sammy
Sunil Narine
Devendra Bishoo
Kemar Roach

They might go with an extra batsman over a bowler especially considering they have 3 part time bowlers, but they are still batting reasonably deep with Russell, Sammy and Narine. Their strength is definitely the spinners, so hopefully they play both Narine and Bishoo as they could really cause the Australians some problems.

Charles was the form player in the recent T20 series, finished 35 runs clear at the top of the leader board. Can only really pick on recent form.

Thats a pretty decent line up , should test Australia , Add one C.Gayle into that line up and I would be confident they would actually win the series.

Opening spots look pretty light on, not sure how good Dwayne Bravo would be opening up. His brother is all class..

Thought Dwayne Smith may have been called up too, Handy hitter and another medium pace. Interesting to see how Aussies play Bishoo, has done well recently and its pretty rare for the Aussies to come up against a Leggie!!!

I think their line up looks very ordinary.

Lendl Simmons is about their best ODI player, and Rampaul is a massive loss for their attack. Add that to the lack of Gayle, and they are down on key personnel.

I'm expecting us to give them a big touch up.

Don't be surprised if they open with Ramdin to allow both Russell and Narine, to play in the same team.

I expect Windies will win the series, Australia are looking very tired, they have injury concerns, Clarke,Pattinson, Lee, Warner, Watson have all had problems lately , With Clarke already ruled out and it wouldnt be a shock to see Warner out of tour to injury.

To me that West Indies line up looks a little hit and miss batting wise, but with one of the best up and coming batsmen in Darren Bravo, with the big hitting of Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Andre Russle and Darren Sammy, the windies have a big chance to inflict some damage on a tired and under performing Australian attack.

The problem with the West Indies is consistancy, they will need to get off to a steady start and keep wicket in hand, because their middle and lower order are all hitters, although Dwayne Bravo has shown he can apply himself when required.

I don't think this will be the white wash series people are expecting.

You have powell listed twice there, I just noticed no Shiv either, rested or injured? would look a lot better with him slotting in that middle order or even open. Surprised they have included an extra bowler in Best, rather then another top order batsmen.

I don't think Simmons is that big a loss. If I had to bet on it, I'd say he would have finished the series with scores of 0, 20, 20, 20 and 70. He is generally pretty consistent, but with his failures too. Rampaul and Barath are the bigger losses in my opinion.

Chanderpaul hasn't played ODIs for a little while now. Seems like he is a Test specialist now, especially with Samuels back as the 'veteran' presence in the middle order.

I've always liked Dwayne Bravo as an opener too. Has always done pretty well when opening in T20s, and with a kid up there the Windies need someone who can take the attack to the bowlers. With the likes of Pollard, Sammy and Russell in the lower order, they don't really need another pinch hitter down there.
