Western Australia v The World

The colossus rolls on. The shield is probably the highest standard of cricket around the world outside of the international Big 3 playing each other. And WA stands at the top.
Redbacks say "thank you"

What a team. What a dynasty. A truly golden era for WA cricket. Tassie made it to easy - they were absolutely abhorrent, right from the coin toss. A gutless performance you’d have to say.

Scary thing is WA has so much depth and young talent still coming through. This could go on at least a couple more years.

Yeah it could but it couldn't ...got to realise results went our way and we got to host a shield final....we could have easily finished 3rd or been playing away in the final....roll of the dice fell our way this time

but you are right...there is depth and talent....just need to work on our injuries and get the lads on the park...I feel for jhye morris Kelly and turner ...injuries hurting them in there careers

Was it really luck? Went to NSW and won comfortable, went to Vic and smashed them then absolutely obliterated Tassie. Made our own luck by winning big to host the final. Tassie choked. They know how to win when its on the line. They didnt scrape through.

Obviously very parochial but there's an element of truth to it. Green and Marsh are established in the Test team, Inglis is next in line as well as in the white ball teams, Bancroft has been knocking down the door for years, Hardie looks like he could push for selection in years to come. Morris and (a fit) Richardson are also international class.

What I'm most excited about is the depth of young talent, Teague Wyllie is a two-time Shield winner and not yet 20, Cooper Connolly has the Shield/Marsh/BBL treble and is 20, Jayden Goodwin is 22, Liam Haskett looks like he goes all right and is 22. It's a good time for WA cricket.
