Had a really good year or so leading to his selection, but did look to have the qualities about him even though it was a bit premature. But it's very confusing how he's completely gone backwards when at this age and experience he should be at his peak.

2015/16 409 @ 68 and in 2016/17 861 @ 53.8. Two quality seasons and then down to low 30's averages. In Cartwright's debut test Renshaw scored 185. Would love to see him get some runs.

Renshaw scoring 185 seems even longer ago than Cartwright having form. I reckon he has less than half that in six shield innings this season

Good win in the end but honestly, so frustrating watching this team squander starts and opportunities, not maximising talent etc.
Need Marsh or Short to go big in the final or I doubt Green can pull off another Houdini act to save us again.

Do you guys think Whiteman will take the gloves in the second dig in the second XI in prep for the Shield game since Inglis will be off playing for Australia A?

Doesn't look like he will get the chance to keep as WA seem set to lose outright; currently 8-210 in the second innings after Queensland made 469 (Heazlett 125).

Probably takes the gloves in Grade cricket Saturday. Or maybe Phillipe keeps in the Shield.

Can’t believe WA 2nd XI were bowled out in the first innings for 77 with the likes of Bancroft, Whiteman, Turner, Green and Inglis.
