i got the same mail gbf50, but i also heard whispers that gotchy from willy has inquired or put in for the hoppers job...straight up from gettin the sack from willy. also a few players will follow if he gets it....only what i hear.

i would have thought tails would be a worthy guy for the job but also mitchell... i would presume he has put in for the job as i thought it was a fair sellin point for him in going to hoppers last year???

when are other clubs startin up pre season??? it is almost at that time of year.

It's a waste of time doing anything other than a few get togethers before xmas. Start traing 2nd wk of Jan, 4 months is surely enough time to get fit, set game plans and stoppages......but what would i know, lost 3 in a row.

Few coaching changes will surely liven up the comp a bit...
The hoppers boys were sure normington will coach.
Sunshine : have heard a few quality applications, so expect some improvement their.
Colts also have had a few quality apply, one with a bit of afl/vfl experience, so expect colts to be a force again.
What's the talk from the saints??
The top 5 more than likely the same although the gap from the saints and alton will close

paul harrison has hung the boots up & will coach, steve zavalas & justin dorwood two that joined 2 years ago as playing coachs have both left. no big names signed yet but 5 or 6 on the cards.

Justin Dorward has signed on for Echuca.

They havent made a decision as far as I know and I was up the club last night. Fraze has posted on here what happened so go back over old posts to find out what happened. Its been done and dusted so leave it that way.

I dont know how anybody can say whether somebody is a good coach or not if they havent played under them. Knowing somebody as a person or footballer is totally different to knowing whether or not somebody can coach, if you dont hear and see what is done at training and behind closed doors. Too many people get caught up with judging 1's ability by winning flags, both as a player and coach. It looks good on a CV but being a premiership coach just means that they are the coach of the best team of that year, it doesnt automatically make you a great coach. The same with playing in a premiership. This doesnt automatically make you a gun player. All it means is that you were in the best 21/22 in the best side that year. The opposite can be said for teams that finish at the bottom.

Tails wants to spend more time with his little 1 rather than being stuck up the club any longer than he does, hence why he has given it away.

Ill be starting pre-season about Feb

I mite like to think i know but i don't.
I had a chat with a sunshine person told me they had alot of quality applicants and that they were looking to be a power next year.
I don't even know any names of those applicants.

Matty Larkin will not be coaching colts, jack love is a whisper i hear.
I have also reapplied so don't discount me just yet, although it seems the club may want a change and i can understand that especially after 3 gf losses, the buck stops with the coach.

You may just get your wish Beazer. From what i hear, Martin Pike was interviewed and upon further negotiation ($$$$) may just get the job. Please confirm for me Danny Ocean. Just so i know my hoppers source is trustworthy or not?

I think Pike got another contract at Northern Bullants mate, but I may be wrong?

Gotch is coaching a VFL side.

Tayls does not have the time due to work and family.

Mitch is to remain Assistant as he thinks he needs another year or two to learn, which is a smart option.

The powers to be are keeping all in house about who has applied out of respect to anyone that does not recieve the job, there is an interviewing panel and they are the only one's that know. So anyone outside that panel professing to know who has applied is kidding themselfs.

There will be an announcement in due course, I'm really looking forward to knowing who will coach us next year.

As for Fras, as Beazer said it has been done and dusted, good luck to him coaching div12 in the ammos next year lol. I can tell you though the ground out at Point Cook is as big as the MCG and has a very nice watering hole just accross the road.

Think i have showed over 25 years how colts i am and will always be, just coz i go coach some where does not mean i don't chersh the time have spent there.
I may just have a kick in the two's have some fun without the stress.
I'm a realist and understand i can't coach forever and if i'm sacked/ replaced whatever i will not hold a grudge.
As for brett jacobs he has been a fantastic and loyal colts man and has sacraficed alot of the years, i think he has a great opportunity and would have been mad to not take it.
