I agree should have gone directly to the tribunal. All reports is Stewart denied headbutting and challenged the report. When the video was available the club contacted the league and asked to accept the two weeks. If the league wants to cut out this sort of stuff then get serious about handing out longer suspensions
Can they just up and leave though? Thought there was an independent body who have the final say?
Headbutts start at 6 weeks in the VAFA...

Please don’t get me started. WRFL need to step up as it’s clearly min 4 weeks. Then when the Hoppers big blokes ran in the guy didn’t want a bar of it. Coward act that must be stamped out.

Would be a blow for the WRFL, 2nd biggest club in the comp.
Big decision for AFL Vic, hope their consideration includes how Carro's move impacts on the WRFL. Is it good for footy overall in the West / Northwest?
Really dislike metro comps aggressively trying to lure clubs from comp to comp, AFL Vic should actively discourage it unless its a geographical thing (e.g Coburg Districts).
Has DP stopped cheating , been nothing on here about that for a while!!!
Maybe if the league was run in a professional manner and all clubs treated equally then clubs may not have to look elsewhere
I will say it again club presidents can take a stand instead of rocking up to a meeting and not saying anything these discussions will continue

Would you rather take your kid to Hillside, Taylor's Lakes or keilor for an away game or to Werribee, point cook or Willy?

Who really cares about 10-20 minutes difference either way. I would drive anywhere if it meant my kid was happy and got to play footy.

I can imagine mate. But parents need to realise they need to make sacrafices sometimes with sport. They should Just be happy the kid is playing footy and not a bloody video game.

The argument will be they are still playing footy.
I don't disagree with the sentiments.
WRFL board have a lot to answer for to the remaining clubs if they lose a club the size of Caroline Springs.

Is that the reasoning for wanting to move to EDFL? That’s 3 teams out of how many.
Every second team may not play against any of those 3 clubs in a season.
It is probably more likely they don’t feel they will ever be a contender in WRFL div 1

I'm saying, they have junior clubs in another competition closer, they have been treated differently to other clubs in the WRFL, the inept performance of the WRFL board, and letting others cheat, without punishment, would all be contributing factors.
I'd rather the league given Caro the leniency that has been afforded to other clubs, instead of the hardline they have had to face.
I don't blame them for looking abroad. It's about what is best for their members, and the WRFL have done F.A for them

Re travel, when things at my club were finely balanced between the Remainers and the Vafexiteers, it did not help the cause when Yarra Valley were allowed to schedule a 19s game at home for 9am. On its own it wasn't much, but it cemented opinions within the club and showed how much the league valued us. None of us know the internal side of things at CS, but it is very apparent the WRFL hung them out to dry and completely failed to lift a digit (except the middle one) when other teams did far worse, and the WRFL shows a similar attitude towards them as VAFA to us. Leaves a bad taste.
