Deer park could join the VFL they pay more to there players then some VFL stand alone teams .........98% supported hoppers, could hear a pin drop when DP kicked a goal. Shattering day of local footy. DP would annihilate Keilor, after watching both games there's no way Keilor could restrict DP's forwards.
If I were a club like Spotswood or Sunshine for example, I would be seriously considering moving to the EDFL. Might not be in A grade to start but would be definitely easier to recruit players to say your in the Essendon league.
If Deer park continue like this, then in 3-5 years time I can see it plausible for a break away Comp.
The WFL (Wyndham Football League)
Hoppers
Werribee
Glenorden
W/Centrals
Manor lakes
Tarneit
Westbourne
Point Cook
Sanctuary lakes
Laverton
Could add
Altona
Rockbank
and I'm sure I've left someone out.
But you get the drift.
Be very careful WRFL you may loose a Como if Deer park continue.
Perhaps deer park could head over to the edfl there not that far from there and spend more than the premier clubs and that fouls save the WRFL or there will be consequences if this continuesIf I were a club like Spotswood or Sunshine for example, I would be seriously considering moving to the EDFL. Lol thats funny cause i was there and there was plenty of support for deer park so im not sure what game u were at.98% supported hoppers, could hear a pin drop when DP kicked a goal. One thing i will say about Fev is he plays for his mates and everyone loves playing with him.
And as for getting dropped and sending threatening messages to everyone lol it's obvious the right decision was made to drop that player.
Rumour has it that his position at the club at the half way mark was in doubt. Had to turn it around or he was out.Lol thats funny cause i was there and there was plenty of support for deer park so im not sure what game u were at.

Winners will be grinners and losers can please themselves.Rubbish, I stood on the wing.. No one made any noise when DP kicked a goal. Shocking day tbh
True, it's just a shame how much is spent to get the grins.Winners will be grinners and losers can please themselves.
Yeah the gap is big i know hopefully the point system works itself out and rules are bought in to even everything out.True, it's just a shame how much is spent to get the grins.

I like the idea. Travel these days is nothing compared to that of yesteryear. 1 mega comp. No mucking around (ala WRFL) because everyone's interest is at hand!Taken liberty by adding Werribee Centrals Point Cook and Westbourne.
But i see your point.
I know when Werribee Districts were part of the VAFA there were very real discussions about forming a alternative junior league.
Most of the big junior clubs at the time were aligned with non-WRFL seniors.
Basically the WRFL had lost the plot. Instead of working with those clubs were trying to force thier hands and only further distancing themselves.
Werribee
Westbourne (now Wyndham Suns juniors)
Point Cook
Williamstown
St.Bernards
Werribee Centrals
PEGS
Now if that was ripped out of the WRFL 4-5 year's ago, the WRFL juniors would have been in real strife.
So HQ would want to pull thier socks up - because if they dont adhere and work towards a solution then every club will start discussing the alternatives to best suit thier own clubs and members - which is the mandate for each committee.
The more these conversations happen, the more action will take place.
The football victoria suggestions of mega leagues may come into play (EDFL, RDFL & WRFL merger) this was floated a few years ago, and haven't heard or seen these recommendations have anything put into place
The 'Deer Park Club' is a major contributor to Deer Park. I've heard no hint of this money tree having a drought. The GA money is great for the club involved and does have a lasting impact at that club once he leaves. Greenvale continue to be a powerhouse in the EDFL and Marby who most expected to completely fall away the moment that Allison left, yet they remain a good side in the EDFL and have significantly improved there junior program..
I just dont quite understand what Allison gets out of it, sure winning flags and being around footy clubs that are successful is fun.. But moving from club to club league to league buying flags i just dont see the appeal, particularly with a side as dominant as Deer Park. I dont begrudge any successful person wanting to spend there money on local footy but i dont get it. I could understand picking his home club and building the best facilities and tipping in to make them a strong side on field and staying there to enjoy it but not what GA does. I assume he is probably bored with Deer Park like the rest of us so will take his $ somewhere else, be interesting where it will be.. Plenty of country teams who would love a bit of GA help.

Then the figure of 250,000 that I heard even tops that! From what I hear the Deer Park Football Club virtually runs/owns/controls the Hotel. The same people involved in both . I agree, $190,000 is over the top.
FILO is salary cap at $200,000 next year if so Parkers will have plenty in bank also heard Cooney over line at SpotswoodThen the figure of 250,000 that I heard even tops that!
Good get for Spotswood if true. As for the salary cap, I only know of one being introduced in the Essendon league next year. WRFL Admin couldn't organise the tug in a rub and tug session so how are they going to enforce a salary cap?FILO is salary cap at $200,000 next year if so Parkers will have plenty in bank also heard Cooney over line at Spotswood
