Re: Western Region Football League team

what the **** are u on about mate, stupidest post for a while good work, i love the ones that u read 12 times and they still dont make sense. i dont think anyone would back out of his way and let him get the ball, he's a rover not godzilla. steve is a hard player and does give cheap shots, but then so do 90% of players in this comp. will steve be a good thing for albion? time will tell i guess, they are starting to build a good culture down there and a very good side, lets hope steve can maintain this and build on last year, and try to not let albion slip back to a good side that just misses finals again.
Funny as f#@k!:)

Well looks like Doorwood is in High demand. West Footscray trying hard to secure a quality player early but seems as if Hoppers are the front runners. May not want to play in a struggling team again like he did this year and at Altona has some good days at Parkside. Would say he would like to feel finals fever again!

A better fit perhaps would be for Altona to be pro-active and offer him the coaching role. That would then give them an oppurtunity to entice a few older senior blokes to the club, couple them with the abundance of young fella's on their list and that would just about make them a finals chance themselves?

A better long term solution for all could be on the cards??

as he should be he is a gun fooballer, wouldnt mind him down at spotswood!!

nearly that time of the year again when pre season starts, except at colts lucky cutns dont start till next year. all big recruits should be signed now and depatures gone, just wondering if anyone is keen to fill us all in on the happenings at their respective clubs?

i'll do ours but i dont know too much, pretty sure we have held onto all players from last years side, recruits not sure of! we held onto beazer so we should go close again that man is a freak.

monty and ray are broke because they waste all there money on the gym and spray tans, and they are still ugly. yeah i got a couple of nice offers, but nothing compares to a channce to win back to back flags!!

not sure about musca, did hear he was keen to go back and play vfl if so all the best to him, would be a bit of a loss to us he is a quality player.

how is ur team shaping up? kept most of ur team from last year? picked up any?

Last year when his name was thrown around it was said that where Juegan goes Dorwood would go and seeing they are close mates i reckon that will happen again, and Zavalas is part of that tight group it would be a handy addition to a team like Albion if they went there too.

Heard Urch has been speaking to Mr Langlands

Understand where you are coming from but don't know if Doorwood is the coaching type! One thing you are right about is that Altona should be going out of there way to get him back and hope that he can drag some mates along. But like i have said in the past Altona is not reknown for being proactive!

I'm assuming you haven't had much to do with Altona, have you? the Altona FC goal is to get the best out of there juniors and then let them go to other clubs, where they can dominate the league and kick there own arses!

There were 6 senior players (off the top pf my head) that played in premierships this year (divvy 1 and divvy 2) that were from the Altona junior program.

But not trying to rub salt into the wounds, i'm pretty that 2 of them held up the divvy 1 cup as captains too!

And that isn't mentioning other players like JD who are at other clubs and other leagues.

Re: Western Region Football League team

I have heard from a very strong source that Hoppers have signed former Bulldogs Brad Murphy and have also signed his mate who he played with this year and down at the Cannons, apparantley a small forward who kicked 40 odd goals last season.

Also heard that Parkside are bringing back alot of played to help bring the club back to the top level, Patty Davies may return with Sevelous (spelling).

My mail is pretty spot on as I know people at Sunbury footy club and they where keen to sign up all 4 of these blokes as the first 2 mention are juniors from the club, they knocked Sunbury and decided to head to Hoppers despite living in the town.

Pat Davis's name is being thrown around at Riddell FC too. He has a lot of mates there.

I dont think anyone is saying they do, I for one have posted before that I think the current blokes are doing well with what they have.

The discussion was all about "oppurtunitys that arise" some clubs are pro-active in this regard and others aren't.

Zavalas - Coach
Dorwood - Assistant Coach
Broadbent - 50/50
Seen Fatty Zavalas out Saturday night spoke with excitement about his new role, his brother is following him there and they are close signing Juegan as well would be a fair team he also is keen on losing 10 kilos.

DaVinci heard you took a pay cut so you could squeeze in all the superstars along with fellow captain Joksen, any truth in it
