Re: Western Region Football League team

Haha, if by jacks you mean cops then ur wrong. we dont have any playing with us at the moment, and cant think of any that have in the last 10 years for that matter. but at least you have come on here with a bang... good start to ur bigfooty career. would be great if u can back up the times we have been, as u so finely put it, "pigs, rats and dogs".

Sunshine under fire already?..........a little of the mark boys. As far as opposition sides go they are one of the better ones. Most of the guys are pretty thick skinned so the remarks would be water of a ducks back I suggest.

As far as your new reserves coach goes....it suprises me a little as to why one of Deer Parks favorite sons is moving camp? When you consider everthing at the Parkers is unpward and onward.....new cashed up pres, new coach, return of past champs and not to mention the new rooms.

When you consider he's old man has been the face of the club over the last couple of years, it makes for an interesting story?

The joints got more jacks in it than sunshine police station
What sort of a club gets everyone down there on a sunday night to watch big brother eviction ?
Most clubs get together on a sunday to have a drink & go out

Re: Western Region Football League team

How's it looking down there at the moment Cabs. Haven't heard much news about recruits from Sunny way, anything to report or just keeping a lid on it. Also have you blokes started training yet?
Yeh havent heard too much. Just Foley and Mentha have signed for full years with no VFL commitments... not sure bout others, few country guys are being spoken to... we would need to pick up a few, including a ruckmen. We start training tomorrow night, should be fun!
We did manage to secure Senior Seargent Tom Croydon from Blue Heelers to play centre half forward, and Christine Nixon is our assistant coach. You never know, we might even be able to get Noel Ashby as our new full forward. We seem to like the jacks.

Stop stroking yourself mate. I'm happy to sit here and read about things that i disagree with due to individual opinion but all your doing is waisting my download time!!

Sunshine is honest, hard working have always found players to be respectful during and after games!

Cabs you are a funny pr!ck, also heard stephen linnell came on board as media director. After seeing you lately, you need the training! Skut harrison is like a new recruit now as he ran around at twice his playing weight last year. also heard a whisper your brother might be tempted back down. better get another ruckman, with adro leaving can't leave it all to that goofy bloke in his crash helmet!

Sticks and stone - you know the rest hahahaha!!

I think sargent maggie doyle is also on board as our new administrator with simon overlands our chairman of selectors. Gotta love the sledging - we love that s hit

Now that they have got that crap of their chest perhaps we can get back to the footy - sunshine progressing ahead. In relation to Grant - he want to give coaching a try and there wasn't a position available at Deer Park. everything moving in a positive direction.

How did albions first training run go - did you have good numbers?

Re: Western Region Football League team

In 06 parkside were favorites to win the flag until they self destructed
6 top players into a side that finished 4th im sure they will improve on that position.
Albion look to have improved but will the other sides improve ?
Yeah Parkside were the team to beat in 05 we meet them at the half way mark at there ground and they were flying. At the 3 quarter break l think they were up by 40 odd points it was Saul Caddy's first game for the club and the radio had as 15 marks 24 possies fair debut. We had a massive last quarter after a low 3 quarters and got up, and i think that game turned there season around. Then they had that finals series that has lead to where the club is now. Them players named that might be going to Albion if they can gel into the club straight away then they will be a force next year.

Beazer you make a point of saying you played your last game there when you were 15 and the rest of your junior days were at the jets fair enough. But every function your mates at Altona had you would have been there and you would have watched and looked up to the senior blokes there, plus would have watched your Altona team mates every chance you had. So you just cause your not playin games there your still connected to the place true?

Rock or Chopsewie

Any truth to the rumour that big bad Saul Caddy is heading to Greenvale in the EDFL next year.

Would be a huge loss for Colts if true.

Yeah I agree. I watched them as much as I could and was still involved. I dont understand why juniors look up to us dills bcos we are just average blokes playing footy. In saying that I used to look up to guys like Roo Muschielli, Greg Minnet, Scott Evans, Andrew Venner, Grant Smith, Joey Ferguson etc. Even Frosty trained there 1 night.

Who knows, I may end up back there 1 day but as Ive said a few times Im happy at Spotty and while Im getting a few kicks I want to be part of a successful era there.

This takes the count to 6 different clubs that Saul will be playing for next year.

Stay tuned, I am sure there will be more.

Just back from 4mths in europe and Caddy is rumoured to me coming back to the valley.... again.... lol

I know the boys were hoping to play with him at diamo last season but thats history.... With Cowboy back at the slime i bet they have spoken to him as Cowboy was one of the reasons he signed at Diamo.... Bet Cowboy doesnt let an over the top football manager get in the way this time....

Anyone heard who is coaching diamo ?????

St Albans are having an official Lights On night on Friday with the Mayor and other big knobs attending and are also playing cricket under lights so the lights are top notch.
St Albans pre season started on Monday with alot of new faces from VFA clubs so will be interesting who we can secure.
