Just curious, is McBroom the guy they call Moppa? cos he is a very talented footballer, quick as lightning and loves the hard stuff. Colts had a down day, but signs show that on their day they are the side to beat, no doubt, still rate them higher then Hoppers! Winters missed goals that he never misses, and had he kicked them it would have been a lot closer, Jacobs had a quiet day, as did Stevens, and Webb didnt play who is an absolute gun, sets them up from half back.
We are looking forward to Albion after the break, really is make or break for both sides. They are much more then just James as some people have mentioned. Barker and Brown are top class footballers, Assard always competes and they are very even across the ground...
Your conclusion is based on what 13-CABS?, yes Hoppers did lose to Colts, but the only thing you can go on is what you've seen and that would be Hoppers beating Sunshine by 15 goals and sunshine beating Colts by 5 goals. So explain to me how you rate Colts higher. That's great logic????.

I do enjoy some of your comments WRFLfan. I was just reading back to a couple of the predictions from last week and read, that you predicted there was every possible chance that sunshine could run over the top of Colts. Well predicted, even though it would be chirning your insides. If there is one positive, it makes it a little more interesting for the top of the table race. :thumbsu:
Chirning is an understatement, when you read the paper om Monday it hurts when you speak to blokes at work it hurts but next week is a fresh start and for that reason l feel sorry for Altona l think its going to see a fierce and pround Colts team

Re: Western Region Football League team

sunline, my conclusion is based on my opinion mate. I didnt play against Hoppers due to injury but watched, and i did play against Colts and from the things i seen and the fact Colts beat them last week i rated Colts higher. Results vary each week, they had a down day, we had a down day against you guys. From seeing both sides no doubt they are the best two, but i have Colts in front because on paper and come finals time they are a better side. Sorry if this upsets you buddy, but thats just the way i see it!

EDFL man whats D smacs chances of being there if they ever get there. Keep pumping your own tyres up still waiting to even see your name in the best players still, players down there must nt be that bad if some one as good as yourself(sorry i mean successful) cant get a run in the best players. Keep up the good charity work

Yes thats him and he has been playing great footy for us, he tends to act first and think later in his attack on the ball(youve got to love that stuff), hes father founded the club so he is all about the blue and red for him.

I understand your reasoning in the Hoppers and Colts debate, you guys kicked 2 7 in the first didnt you if? you kick straight its catch up footy for them against a good running side. I thought Jacobs went alright and Webb is a massive loss specialy when other backman are down.
You kicked a couple on the full and one into the man on the mark, you need to be better than that personally. Heard some one put a copy of some previous posts about intimadtion on the walls in the change rooms, good move like that.
As for Albion maybe there spirt is broken and its a good time to play them, they would have thought they were a massive chance against Hoppers and had there hearts broken. Assard and Mastro will be a good contest both big lumbering men, l wonder who has the worst kick out of them? Peolpe around our club tipping top 3 finish for the Sunshine Kangas is the beliefe down there?
X Linton quick did he play last year? Goes well, Frost such a strong mark needs to hit the weights room Ha ha

Xave didnt play last year, had an operation on his ankle but played the year before and won best first year player and also the goal kicking. Is prob the fittest in the side this year, had been playing down back but was moved forward for this week. Good move in the end! Frost didnt play, hes injured so maybe ya got the wrong guy! Your right about Mastropasqua, it makes us all nervous when hes about to kick, no one knows whats going to happen. The feeling was great after the game, the place had been a bit flat for the start of the year. Really had only played about 4 good quarters of footy for the year before the weekend. Hopefully this gets us up and ready to go for the rest of the year. As for 13-CABS he doesnt kick out! Dunno where you heard that from!

I think the idea of linton lining up on winters was just pre game speculation.
Little rusty come from the Hampton League, played with South Warrnambool. Put in probably his best game on the weekend barring a praccy match he played at sunshine during the pre-season where he just turned it on.

Travvy its has been remarkable that you have finally managed to keep yourself on the track for successive weeks. You seem to have the body of a 50 year old, but u have finally shaken the tag of Jana. Ive said many times that Tommy Millar is an absolute star of this league, up there with the gun big men. Slots in behind Jullier and Venner, slighty ahead of Assard i reckon. As for Quinny, he loves a bit of verbal but can back it up which is good for the young lad. And me being cheeky? thats way off, im extremely introverted and quiet. Think someones given you some wrong information there.

g'day sunline im here mate anything you would like to say.
Yes we suffered our first loss no excuses.
We are at the break and one game clear on top i couldn't have asked for a better start to the season.
Now it's to the second half of the year and to back up all our good work.No team likes to loose especialy at home and it is still hurting a bit but i know deep down it will benfit us in the long run ,as it shows we still have number of things to improve on and parts of our game plan need a bit adjusting. If sides just go along winning sometimes they get ahead of then selves and dont see some weakness in there game.Port colts are not better than any of the other top teams to not work on there deficencies so lets hope the loss does end up benificial.

so sunny any comments from you.

Reading one of your posts today and it says that Newman and Chisnell signed with the Colts. Will they be ready to play after the bye? If so what positions?

The Colts loss will make them harder to beat now in my opinion.
I'm tipping they will not lose again this year. :thumbsu: :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

yes signed sealed but not delivered will hopefully play after the bye if my dreams come true
newman will go to halfback chisnal may squeeze into the side on the bench but there are a few minor issues to sort out if they come i heard chinal wants to ply ff but clarke is sooking and wants to play there so they might have to sort it out at training with the gloves on.

Getting your name in the paper is reward for hard work brains, recognition and some inner pride all things foreign to your good self maybe, did you play in a grannie at Tulla

Gotheroos you answer the question where would you put them?, you have seen them both play before?
The big question is can Chisnall cut it in the city, l know he has played alot of country football and played well but can he do it in smaller and more contested grounds. Just queitly l think he will pull it off, as for Newman well when he left the WRFL he was a superstar with superstar status and will take off from where he left off.
Fingers crossed
