Disappointing result going down to the Warriors by 8 wickets in less than 4 days.

In greater news, if you look at the OP, you would have noticed that we have cap numbers for the players that have donned the Baggy Yellow for the Peckers at test level. Over the last couple of weeks, I have been amending those cap numbers as they were given at random if players had made their debut at the same time. Obviously, this is not how it works in real life and instead they are given out alphabetically. This is what I have done.

So without further a do, I present the new cap numbers to the Peckers that have made their debut prior to the 2016 test series.

Cap No. Player
#1 BoshtrichBurger
#2 Danger in Texas
#3 DemonJim
#4 DREAM TEAM BUFF
#5 HARPSichord
#6 MoOP
#7 nbaman1
#8 Greater Gattsby
#9 Smartys Power
#10 Son of Skeletor
#11 spookism
#12 stewie griffen
#13 TheFreshBanana
#14 Modbury_Hawk_12

And in doing so, I've also implemented cap numbers for the players that have represented the Woodpeckers at ODI level:

Cap No. Player
#1 BoshtrichBurger
#2 Danger in Texas
#3 DemonJim
#4 HARPSichord
#5 MoOP
#6 Greater Gattsby
#7 Slippery Pete
#8 Smartys Power
#9 Spadge
#10 stewie griffen
#11 TheFreshBanana
#12 nbaman1
#13 Son of Skeletor
#14 DREAM TEAM BUFF
#15 spookism
#16 Modbury_Hawk_12

So over the course of the recently completed One Day series, the Western Woodpeckers had 4 debutants.

In round one we had three players pull on the yellow shirt of the Peckers for the first time against the West Coast Warrios. Congratulations to akkaps on cap no. 17, Citroin cap no. 18 and Hatchy1992 cap no. 20 for the Western Woodpeckers.

Citroin was that excited, he wore his first cap while batting.

Hatchy1992 is congratulated by the rest of the playing group after receiving his cap.

In round 3, the 4th debutant of the season came in the form of top order, turned middle order, turned back into top order batsman, Juggalo Balla (now known as Papa Juggs). "Juggs" received cap no. 20. Unfortunately, his debut game in an absolute belting by the Crocs. However, a debut nonetheless.

In a weird turn of events, Juggalo Balla received his cap from the 3rd gamer, akkaps.

Finally, the test series had come around and with a few departures from the squad, opened up opportunities for some new players to come in and make their mark on not only the Woodpeckers team but the league as a whole.

Round 1 saw four debutants for the Woodpeckers against the Crocs in their first test match in around about 2 years. After only managing 2 ODI games in his debut season, Citroin returned with a vengeance and found himself in the round 1 line up and snaring cap no. 15. After an impressive ODI campaign, Hatchy1992 was a lock at the top of the order in the test side and was awarded with cap no. 16. Cap no. 17 went to a player who is returning to the league, a champion I am told, but a debut at the Woodpeckers would hand Jeremias yet another cap to cherish. The inclusion of Hatchy and Jeremias to the test side, meant a brand new opening partnership for the Peckers. Finally, after signing up a few days before the first match, Stephen cRowe managed to find a spot in the side and was awarded with cap no. 18.

Congratulations to all the new Woodpeckers.

Stephen cRowe was luckily enough to receive his cap from legendary Woodpeckers spin king, DREAM TEAM BUFF who makes sure he is suited up right until the first ball.
